This screen is made for X1 models with the original CIC system. A CIC radio usually has a CD button on the iDrive controller, a 4-pin LVDS port and a BMW Car Communication Computer interface. If your car has NBT, look at XTRONS QGB24NB12X1N, and for EVO, QGB24EVB12X1N.

The unit's sound plays through the car's AUX input, so AUX has to be enabled. If your car has no AUX input, or it doesn't work, you'll need an FM transmitter; XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 and CA/ITR/FM03 are compatible.

The 12.3 inch QHD 2K IPS panel runs at 2400 x 900 and is fully laminated, so there's no air gap behind the glass to catch reflections. Colours stay accurate from both front seats, and the G+G touch screen responds like a phone.

Your iPhone connects to CarPlay without a cable, so maps, calls and music appear on the wide screen while the phone stays in your pocket.

Android Auto also runs wirelessly, putting Google Maps, calls and your music apps on the dashboard with controls made for driving.

Insert a SIM card and the unit has its own mobile data for music streaming, live traffic on the map and online apps, and you can share the connection with passengers. It covers a wide range of FDD-LTE, TDD-LTE and WCDMA bands.

Wi-Fi on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz lets the unit join a hotspot or your home network for faster downloads, streaming and updates.

A GPS antenna is in the box, so navigation apps can follow your position in real time on the 12.3 inch screen, with traffic over 4G.

For clearer hands-free calls, add an XTRONS external microphone such as MIC001, MIC002, MIC003 or ACMIC005.

Add an XTRONS DAB+ tuner (USBDAB01, USBDAB02, USBDAB04, ACUSBDAB05T or ACUSBDAB06) to receive digital radio through the unit.

The unit works with XTRONS reversing cameras including CAM009S (AHD 720P) and ACCAM716S, CAM1080, ACCAM10802 and ACCAMAI01 (AHD 1080P), showing the view behind on the big screen when you park.

Add an XTRONS DVR, such as DVR028S, ACDVR2K01 (ADAS) or ACWIFIDVR02, to record your journeys.

With an XTRONS OBD2 scanner (OBD01S, OBD02, OBD03 or OBD04) the screen shows live data and trouble codes from the car's computer, so a warning light doesn't leave you guessing.

Fit an XTRONS TPMS kit (TPMSO7 or TPMS08) and each tyre's pressure shows on the head unit in real time.
