What's in the box
The “In the box” list on each product page is copied exactly from the manufacturer. Check it before you start: custom-fit units usually come with the wiring harness and fascia for the car they are listed for, while universal units may need a separate fascia or adaptor for your car.
Professional fitting
We recommend having a head unit or screen fitted by a professional car audio installer, especially in cars with factory amplifiers, CAN-bus wiring, parking sensors or a factory camera. Fitting usually means removing trim panels and the old unit, connecting the harness and aerials, and testing every function before the dash goes back together.
To confirm · Owner to supply
Before you start
- Note your radio code, if your car's original stereo has one, and any settings you want to keep.
- Disconnect the battery if the car's handbook says to, and follow its advice on airbag and electrical safety.
- Keep the original unit and its connectors until the new one is working, in case you need to send it back.
Steering wheel controls, cameras and other functions
Steering wheel controls, a reversing camera, DAB, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto each need setting up after fitting. Our function guides explain what each function does and how it is usually set up, and the product page says which functions each unit has.
Getting help
If something doesn't work after fitting, contact us with your order number, your car and a photo of the wiring if you can. Please don't send a unit back before talking to us: many problems are solved with a setting.
