XTRONS QGB24NB12X1N is a 12.3 inch 2K Android 14 screen that replaces the factory display in the BMW X1 F48 with the NBT system, 2016-2017. It works alongside the original stereo and iDrive, adding wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and built-in 4G.
CarPlay connects to your iPhone without a cable. Maps, music, calls and messages come up on the 12.3 inch screen, and Siri takes voice requests.
Android phones connect to Android Auto wirelessly, with Google Maps, music apps and Google Assistant on the wide screen.
The 12.3 inch IPS panel has a QHD 2K resolution of 2400 x 900, with G+G touch and full lamination for a sharp picture with fewer reflections. The wide format suits a map with music controls beside it.
Fit a SIM card and the unit has its own connection for music streaming, live navigation and sharing internet with passengers. It covers a wide range of FDD-LTE, TDD-LTE and WCDMA bands, and a 4G antenna is in the box.
Wi-Fi runs on 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, so you can join a hotspot or home network for app downloads and updates.
A GPS antenna comes with the unit for real-time navigation on the large screen.
For clearer hands-free calls, an external XTRONS microphone such as the ACMIC005 can be added and mounted near the driver.
DAB+ digital radio needs an external XTRONS DAB tuner, such as the USBDAB01 or ACUSBDAB06, sold separately.
An XTRONS reversing camera, including AHD 1080P models such as the ACCAM10802, can be added so the view behind shows on the screen.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 is built on 6nm technology, with 4 x Kryo 265 Gold and 4 x Kryo 265 Silver cores reaching up to 2.4GHz. With 8GB DDR4 RAM and 128GB storage, apps open quickly and there's room for plenty of them.
XTRONS dash cams, OBD2 scanners and TPMS sensors can be added later.

The screen is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display in NBT cars, with an ISO wiring harness, audio cable and plastic bracket supplied. Sound plays through the car's AUX input, so make sure AUX is enabled; without a working AUX input you'll need an FM transmitter such as the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 or CA/ITR/FM03.
An NBT radio usually has a Media button, a touch pad controller, a 6-pin LVDS port and the BMW NBT interface. For CIC choose the QGB24CIB12X1N, and for EVO the QGB24EVB12X1N.
Yes. The unit works alongside the original stereo, so the radio and iDrive system stay.
You'll need an FM transmitter. The XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 and CA/ITR/FM03 are compatible.
Yes. CarPlay and Android Auto both connect wirelessly.
