BMW 3 and 5 Series CCC 8.8 inch Android Head Unit with Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and 4G | QBB8460CC

This unit only works with the original BMW CCC system, found on the E90, E91, E92 and E93 3 Series and M3 and the E60 and E61 5 Series and M5 from 2005-2008. A CCC radio usually has both a CD and a DVD slot and a 10-pin LVDS port.

If your car has CIC, the XTRONS QBB8460CI is the version you need. If the iDrive has been modified or updated, the screens may not match the factory ones, so check before you order.

The original BMW functions are kept, including the iDrive controller, the original displays and the steering wheel controls.

Your iPhone connects to CarPlay without a cable, so maps, music, calls and messages appear on the screen as you set off. Voice control lets you send a message or change a route without taking your hands off the wheel.

Android Auto works wirelessly or with a cable. Google Maps, your music apps and calls show on the 8.8 inch screen in a layout made for driving.

The 8.8 inch IPS display runs at 1280×480 with a G+G touch panel that responds quickly to a tap. IPS gives wide viewing angles, so the passenger can see the map as well as the driver.

The Adreno 610 GPU handles 2K video and picture-in-picture.

Split screen shows two apps at once, for example the map beside your music, so you don't have to switch back and forth.

Built-in 4G LTE gives the unit its own internet connection for live traffic, streaming and app updates, without tethering your phone. A 4G antenna is in the box.

Wi-Fi works on 2.4GHz and 5GHz, so you can connect to a home network or a hotspot for faster downloads.

Positioning comes from GPS, BeiDou, GLONASS and Galileo, which helps the map keep track of you in built-up areas. A GPS antenna is included.

Bluetooth 5.1 streams music from your phone and handles hands-free calls through the built-in microphone.

For clearer calls, you can add an XTRONS external microphone: the MIC001, MIC002, MIC003 or ACMIC005.

Your phone's screen can be cast to the head unit wirelessly, which is useful for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto.

The unit is ready for front and rear AHD cameras and shows a live picture when you reverse, with a wider angle and clear night vision. Suitable XTRONS cameras include the CAM009S (AHD 720P), ACCAM716S (AHD 1080P), CAM1080 (AHD 1080P) and ACCAM10802 (AHD 1080P).

DAB+ digital radio works with an external XTRONS tuner such as the USBDAB01, USBDAB02, USBDAB04, ACUSBDAB05T or ACUSBDAB06.

XTRONS dash cams (DVR025S, DVR027S, DVR028S, DVR030S and ACDVR2K01), OBD2 scanners (OBD01S, OBD02, OBD03 and OBD04) and TPMS kits (TPMS08) also work with this unit, for recording journeys, reading fault codes and checking tyre pressures on the screen.
