A screen for the X1 that never had one
This unit is for the X1 E84 (2009-2015) built with no original display. It gives the dashboard a 12.3 inch touch screen and keeps the factory radio and CD, the amplifier system and the DIY retrofit kit. A controller is included in the box.
If your X1 already has a screen, choose QGBS25CCB12X1 for the CCC system or QGBS25CIB12X1 for the CIC system.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor reaches up to 2.0GHz and pairs with 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB UFS storage to run Android 14 smoothly.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
Your iPhone connects without a lead, so maps, music and calls come up on the big screen as soon as you're in the car.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Android Auto
Android Auto is full-featured, showing Google Maps, music apps and messages on the screen with voice control for calls and directions.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
12.3 inch 2K IPS display
The QHD 2K IPS panel runs at 2400 x 900 with rich, accurate colours. It's fully laminated with a G+G touch screen, which keeps it clear and responsive.
Built-in 4G
Fit a SIM card and the unit has its own 4G internet for streaming, real-time navigation and sharing the connection with passengers. The 4G antenna is in the box.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Dual-band Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi on 2.4GHz and 5GHz lets the unit join a hotspot or your home network to browse, stream and update apps.
Microphone for calls
DAB+ via an external tuner
For digital radio, connect an external DAB+ tuner such as XTRONS USBDAB01, USBDAB02, USBDAB04, ACUSBDAB05T or ACUSBDAB06. It isn't built in.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
Reversing camera option
An XTRONS reversing camera, for example CAM009S (AHD 720P) or ACCAM10802 (AHD 1080P), can be added so you see behind the car on the screen.
Connect a reversing camera and its picture appears on the screen when you select reverse. Automatic switching needs the reverse signal wired in. If your car already has a factory camera, check whether you need an adapter to keep it.
Dash cam, OBD2 and TPMS options
An external DVR such as DVR028S records the road ahead. OBD2 scanners (OBD01S, OBD02, OBD03, OBD04) show live engine data and trouble codes, and TPMS08 sensors show tyre pressures on the screen.
Recordings from a dash cam show on the car screen, live or played back. It needs a USB dash cam made for Android head units; an ordinary dash cam with its own screen won't connect this way. Mount the camera behind the mirror, clear of your view.

The unit is a custom fit for the X1 E84 dashboard and connects with the supplied ISO wiring harness, audio cable and plastic bracket. A controller comes with it, as cars without a display have no factory screen controller. Only order this version if your X1 has no original display.
