The XTRONS QGB24EVB12THR is a 12.3 inch 2K Android 14 screen for right-hand drive BMW 3 Series and 4 Series models from 2018 with the EVO system. It adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and 4G, and the CD player, radio and iDrive system stay in use.

For EVO-equipped right-hand drive cars
This unit is for right-hand drive BMW 3 Series F30/F31/F34/F35 and 4 Series F32/F33/F36 from 2018 with the EVO system. The EVO version for the other steering side is the XTRONS QGB24EVB12THL. For NBT cars, choose the QGB24NB12THR (right-hand drive) or QGB24NB12THL (left-hand drive).
Your CD player, radio and iDrive system are kept. When you switch back to the original system, use the iDrive controller, as touch doesn't work there and gesture control can't be activated after installation.
12.3 inch 2K screen
The 12.3 inch IPS panel runs at 2400 x 900 and is fully laminated with a G+G touch layer. Colours stay accurate from wide angles, so the passenger sees the same picture as you.
Wireless CarPlay
CarPlay connects to your iPhone without a cable, so the map, music and messages are on the big screen while the phone stays in your pocket.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Android Auto
Android Auto connects wirelessly too, putting Google Maps, music and calls on the 12.3 inch display.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
Android 14 and Snapdragon 680
Android 14 runs on a 6nm Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 octa-core processor at up to 2.4GHz, with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 128GB ROM. There's room for plenty of apps, and switching between them stays quick.
Integrated 4G LTE
The built-in 4G module covers a wide range of FDD-LTE, TDD-LTE and WCDMA bands. With a SIM fitted, you get music streaming, real-time navigation and remote position tracking without your phone, and you can share the connection with passengers. A 4G antenna is in the box.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Dual-band Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi works on 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands, for browsing, streaming and online apps.
Microphone for calls
DAB radio
DAB+ digital radio works with an external XTRONS tuner: the USBDAB01, USBDAB02, USBDAB04, ACUSBDAB05T or ACUSBDAB06.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
Reversing camera
You can add a reversing camera such as the XTRONS CAM009S (AHD 720P), ACCAM716S (AHD 1080P), CAM1080 (AHD 1080P), ACCAM10802 (AHD 1080P) or ACCAMAI01 (AHD 1080P), and see the view behind on the 12.3 inch screen.
Connect a reversing camera and its picture appears on the screen when you select reverse. Automatic switching needs the reverse signal wired in. If your car already has a factory camera, check whether you need an adapter to keep it.

The unit fits with the ISO wiring harness, audio box, fix mount and plastic bracket in the box. Check that your car is right-hand drive with the EVO system before ordering. After fitting, the original system is controlled with the iDrive controller rather than by touch.
Which unit do I need for an NBT car?
The XTRONS QGB24NB12THR for right-hand drive or the QGB24NB12THL for left-hand drive.
Can I still use the touch screen on the original BMW system?
No. When you switch to the original system, use the iDrive controller. Gesture control can't be activated after installation.
Will I keep my CD player and radio?
Yes. The CD player, radio and iDrive system all stay.
