XTRONS QGB24NB12THR is a 12.3 inch 2K Android 14 screen for right-hand drive BMW 3 Series F30/F31/F34/F35 and 4 Series F32/F33/F36 with the NBT system, 2013-2017. It replaces the factory display and adds wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and 4G, while the original system stays available on the iDrive controller.

Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects to your iPhone without a cable once paired. Maps, music, calls and messages show on the 12.3 inch screen, and Siri handles voice requests.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Wireless Android Auto
Android phones connect to Android Auto wirelessly, putting Google Maps, music apps and Google Assistant on the wide screen.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
12.3 inch 2K IPS screen
The 12.3 inch IPS panel runs at QHD 2K (2400 x 900), with G+G touch and full lamination for a sharp picture and fewer reflections. There's room for a full map with music controls alongside.
Built-in 4G LTE
With a SIM card fitted, the unit has its own connection for streaming, live navigation and sharing internet with passengers. It covers a wide range of FDD-LTE, TDD-LTE and WCDMA bands, and a 4G antenna is in the box.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Dual-band Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi works on 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for joining a hotspot or home network to download apps and updates.
External microphone option
An external XTRONS microphone such as the ACMIC005 can be added for clearer hands-free calls, mounted close to the driver.
DAB+ with an add-on
DAB+ digital radio needs an external XTRONS DAB tuner, such as the USBDAB01 or ACUSBDAB06, sold separately.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
Reversing camera
An XTRONS reversing camera, including AHD 1080P models such as the ACCAM10802, can be added so the view behind the car shows on the screen.
Connect a reversing camera and its picture appears on the screen when you select reverse. Automatic switching needs the reverse signal wired in. If your car already has a factory camera, check whether you need an adapter to keep it.
Snapdragon 680 and Android 14
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 is built on 6nm technology, with 4 x Kryo 265 Gold and 4 x Kryo 265 Silver cores reaching up to 2.4GHz. With 8GB DDR4 RAM and 128GB storage, there's room for plenty of apps and they open quickly.
XTRONS dash cams, OBD2 scanners and TPMS sensors can be added later.

The screen is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display, with an ISO wiring harness, audio cable, fix mount and plastic bracket supplied. It's for right-hand drive NBT cars only: left-hand drive NBT cars need the QGB24NB12THL, and EVO cars need the QGB24EVB12THR (right-hand drive) or QGB24EVB12THL (left-hand drive).
My car has EVO, not NBT. Which model do I need?
For a right-hand drive EVO car, choose the QGB24EVB12THR.
Does the touch screen work on the original system?
No. On the original system you use the iDrive controller, and gesture control can't be activated after fitting.
Is CarPlay wireless?
Yes. CarPlay and Android Auto both connect wirelessly.
Can I add a reversing camera?
Yes. XTRONS AHD cameras such as the ACCAM10802 can be added, sold separately.
