A 12.3 inch 2K Android screen that replaces the factory display in the BMW X3 F25 (2011-2013) with the CIC system. The CD player, radio and iDrive stay, and you gain wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, 4G and a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 processor.
This screen only works with the original BMW CIC system, fitted to the X3 F25 from 2011-2013. A CIC radio usually has a CD button on the iDrive controller, a 4-pin LVDS port and a BMW Car Communication Computer interface. For NBT cars there's the XTRONS QGB24NB12X3, and for NBT EVO the QGB24EVB12X3.
The original CD player, radio and iDrive system carry on working alongside the Android side.
CarPlay connects your iPhone without a cable, so maps, music, messages and calls appear on the wide screen while the phone stays in your pocket. Siri handles requests by voice.
Android phones connect wirelessly too. Google Maps and music apps sit in a layout made for driving, and Google Assistant takes voice commands.
The QHD 2K IPS panel has a 2400 x 900 resolution with rich, accurate colour. It's fully laminated with a G+G touch screen, so it responds quickly and stays clear from both front seats.
With a SIM card, integrated 4G LTE gives the unit its own data connection for music streaming and real-time navigation, and you can share it with passengers. A 4G antenna is supplied.
Dual-band Wi-Fi supports 2.4GHz and 5GHz, so the unit can join a hotspot or home network for faster browsing, streaming and downloads.
Your original radio stays. For DAB+ on the Android side, add an XTRONS USB DAB tuner such as the USBDAB01, USBDAB02, USBDAB04, ACUSBDAB05T or ACUSBDAB06 (sold separately).
An external XTRONS microphone (MIC001, MIC002, MIC003 or ACMIC005) gives clearer hands-free calls and voice commands. It's sold separately.
XTRONS reversing cameras such as the CAM009S (AHD 720P) or ACCAM10802 (AHD 1080P) can be added for a clear view when parking.
The unit also works with XTRONS dash cams (DVR025S, DVR027S, DVR028S, DVR030S, ACDVR2K01, ACWIFIDVR02), OBD2 scanners (OBD01S to OBD04) for reading trouble codes, and TPMS sensors to show tyre pressures. All are sold separately.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 is a 6nm, 64-bit octa-core processor running at up to 2.4GHz, with dual channel 8GB DDR4 RAM and 128GB solid state ROM. Navigation, streaming and apps can run together without slowing down.

The unit replaces the factory display and connects with the supplied ISO wiring harness, audio cable and plastic bracket; installation instructions are in the box. Sound goes through the car's AUX input, so make sure AUX is enabled. Without a working AUX input you'll need an FM transmitter: the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 or CA/ITR/FM03.
