The XTRONS QGB24NB12X5N is a 12.3 inch Android 14 head unit that replaces the factory display in the BMW X5 F15 and X6 F16 (2014-2017) with the NBT system. It keeps your CD player, radio and iDrive, and adds wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and built-in 4G.

Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay links to your iPhone without a cable, putting maps, messages and music on the 12.3 inch screen. The phone can stay in a pocket or bag.
It connects again each time you get in, so there's no cable to plug in on the school run.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Wireless Android Auto
Android Auto also works wirelessly, with navigation, calls and music on the big screen and controlled by touch or voice.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
Keeps the BMW's original system
The unit works alongside the original BMW operating system. The CD player, radio and iDrive controller stay in use, and the Android touch screen takes the place of the factory display.
12.3 inch QHD 2K IPS display
The QHD 2K (2400 x 900) IPS panel gives rich, accurate colour, with a responsive G+G touch screen. IPS keeps the picture clear from the passenger seat too.
Snapdragon 680 and Android 14
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 with 4 x Kryo 265 Gold and 4 x Kryo 265 Silver cores, built on 6nm and running at up to 2.4GHz, powers Android 14. Dual channel 8GB DDR4 RAM and 128GB of storage give room for plenty of apps.
Integrated 4G LTE
4G LTE is built in and a 4G antenna is included. With a SIM card the unit streams music, runs real-time navigation and can share its connection with passengers.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Dual-band Wi-Fi
Dual-band Wi-Fi supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, for app downloads and updates from a hotspot or your home network.
DAB with a tuner
DAB+ radio is supported with an external tuner, such as the XTRONS USBDAB01, USBDAB02, USBDAB04, ACUSBDAB05T or ACUSBDAB06, sold separately.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
External microphone
Optional add-ons
XTRONS accessories add a reversing camera, a DVR to record your journeys, an OBD2 scanner for live data and trouble codes, or a TPMS to show tyre pressures on the screen. Each is sold separately.
USB and RCA
A USB cable and an RCA cable are included, for media from a USB stick and for connecting audio equipment.

This is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display in cars with the NBT system. Sound plays through the car's AUX input, which must be enabled; without a working AUX input you'll need an FM transmitter such as the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 or CA/ITR/FM03. A fix mount, plastic bracket, ISO wiring harness and installation instructions are included.
My X5 has EVO or CIC. Which unit do I need?
For EVO, choose the XTRONS QGB24EVB12X5N. For CIC, choose the QGB24CIB12X5L for left-hand drive or the QGB24CIB12X5R for right-hand drive.
Do I keep iDrive and the CD player?
Yes. The CD player, radio and iDrive system all keep working.
What if my car has no AUX input?
The unit needs the AUX input for sound. Without a working one, add an FM transmitter; the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 and CA/ITR/FM03 are compatible.
