BMW 5 Series E60 E61 CIC 12.3 inch Android Screen with Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and 4G | QGBS25CIB12E60

This screen is made for the BMW 5 Series E60 and E61 and the M5 (2009-2012) with the CIC system. A CIC radio usually has a 4-pin LVDS port, a CIC interface and a CD button on the iDrive controller. For cars with the CCC system, the XTRONS QGBS25CCB12E60 is the one to choose.

The original CD player, radio and iDrive system keep working, and the Android side adds a touch screen with apps, navigation and 4G.

If your car's interface has been modified or updated, identification can be tricky; checking the VIN or asking your dealer is the surest way to confirm the system.

CarPlay is built in and connects your iPhone without a cable. Maps, music, messages and calls appear on the wide 12.3 inch screen, and Siri handles them by voice.

Full-featured Android Auto puts Google Maps, music apps and messages on the screen in a simple layout. Google Assistant lets you set a destination or reply without taking your hands off the wheel.

The QHD 2K IPS panel has a 2400 x 900 resolution and accurate, rich colour. It's fully laminated with a G+G touch screen, so it responds well and stays clear from both front seats.

The wide format suits the BMW dashboard and gives maps plenty of room.

Integrated 4G LTE gives the unit its own data connection with a SIM card, for music streaming and live navigation. You can also share the internet connection with passengers. A 4G antenna is in the box.

Dual-band Wi-Fi supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, so the unit can connect to a hotspot or home network for faster browsing, streaming and app downloads.

The unit is a navigation system in its own right, with a GPS antenna supplied. Run a sat nav app on the screen with real-time GPS navigation, or use your phone's maps through CarPlay or Android Auto.

Your original radio stays in place. For DAB+ through the Android unit, add an XTRONS USB DAB tuner such as the USBDAB01, USBDAB02, USBDAB04, ACUSBDAB05T or ACUSBDAB06 (sold separately).

A microphone cable is in the box for hands-free calls and voice control. For clearer calls, an external XTRONS microphone (MIC001, MIC002, MIC003 or ACMIC005) can be added separately.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor runs at up to 2.0GHz on Android 14, with dual channel 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB UFS ROM. Apps, maps and streaming run smoothly, with room to install plenty more.

The unit works with XTRONS reversing cameras (CAM005, CAM018, CAM009S, ACCAM716S, CAM1080 or ACCAM10802), sold separately.

It also supports XTRONS dash cams (DVR025S, DVR027S, DVR028S, DVR030S, ACDVR2K01), OBD2 scanners (OBD01S to OBD04) for reading trouble codes, and TPMS sensors for tyre pressures on the screen.
