A 14.9 inch Android 14 screen for the BMW X3 F25 and X4 F26 (2016-2018) with the EVO system. It has a fully laminated 2560×720 IPS display, 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, and adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and 4G without removing the CD player.

Made for the X3 and X4 with EVO
This screen is for the X3 F25 and X4 F26 from 2016-2018 with the EVO system. EVO usually shows the time displayed at the end of the menu bar, but that alone doesn't prove it; checking your VIN or asking your dealer is the surest way.
It works with the car's original system, so the CD player stays. You can switch back to the original system and use the iDrive controller there. Gesture control can't be activated after fitting, and the touch screen doesn't work while the original system is showing.
NBT cars need the QLBH44X3NB and CIC cars the QLBH44X3CI.
14.9 inch ultra-wide screen
The 14.9″ fully laminated IPS screen runs at 2560×720, with a slim custom bezel and 2.5D edge. The extra width leaves room for a map alongside your music, and 2K video plays back sharply.
Wireless CarPlay
Your iPhone connects without a cable, so maps, calls and music appear on the wide screen. Voice commands keep your hands on the wheel.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Wireless Android Auto
Android phones connect wirelessly to Android Auto, with navigation and music on the big display.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
Built-in 4G
Insert a SIM card and the built-in 4G module gives the unit its own internet connection for navigation, video and streaming. A 4G antenna and SIM card slot are included.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi connects the screen to a hotspot or your home network for app downloads and updates.
DSP
The built-in DSP lets you adjust the sound to suit the cabin and your taste.
The sound processor lets you tune the sound to your car: an equaliser, a delay for each speaker so the sound centres on your seat, and crossovers that keep deep bass away from small speakers. Start from a preset and change one setting at a time.
Microphone
A mini microphone is included for clearer hands-free calls.
Screen mirroring
Mirror your phone onto the display for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
USB
A USB cable is included for phones and memory sticks.
Reversing camera
AHD cameras are supported. Optional XTRONS cameras include the CAM005, CAM009S, ACCAM716S, CAM1080, ACCAM10802 and ACCAMAI01.
Connect a reversing camera and its picture appears on the screen when you select reverse. Automatic switching needs the reverse signal wired in. If your car already has a factory camera, check whether you need an adapter to keep it.
Dash cam
An external DVR records your journeys. Compatible models are the DVR025S / DVR027S / DVR028S / DVR030S / ACDVR2K01.
Recordings from a dash cam show on the car screen, live or played back. It needs a USB dash cam made for Android head units; an ordinary dash cam with its own screen won't connect this way. Mount the camera behind the mirror, clear of your view.
OBD diagnostics
With an XTRONS OBD01S / OBD02 / OBD03/OBD04 adapter the screen shows real-time trouble codes from the car.
Plug an OBD2 adapter into the car's diagnostic port and the head unit can show live engine data, such as coolant temperature, and read fault codes. It reads the standard engine codes, not everything a dealer's diagnostic equipment can reach.
Tyre pressure monitoring
Add a TPMS07/TPMS08 kit and tyre pressures appear on the screen in real time.
The head unit shows each tyre's pressure and warns you when one drops. It needs a TPMS kit: a receiver and a sensor for each wheel. Cap sensors screw on in minutes, while internal sensors are fitted by a tyre shop.
DAB with an external tuner
Digital radio needs an external DAB+ tuner, such as the XTRONS USBDAB01 / USBDAB02 / USBDAB04 / ACUSBDAB05T / ACUSBDAB06.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
