The XTRONS QGB24CIB12SV is a 12.3 inch Android 14 head unit that replaces the factory display in the BMW 7 Series F01/F02 (2009-2012) with the CIC system. You keep the CD player, radio and iDrive, and add wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and built-in 4G.

Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects to your iPhone without a cable. Maps, messages and music appear on the 12.3 inch screen while the phone stays in your pocket.
It reconnects each time you get in, so there's nothing to plug in.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Wireless Android Auto
Android Auto is wireless too, with navigation, calls and music on the big screen and controlled by touch or voice.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
Keeps the BMW's original system
The unit works with the 7 Series' original operating system. Your CD player, radio and iDrive controller stay in use, and the Android touch screen sits alongside them in place of the factory display.
12.3 inch QHD 2K IPS display
The QHD 2K (2400 x 900) IPS panel gives rich, accurate colour with a responsive G+G touch screen. IPS keeps the picture clear for the front passenger as well.
Snapdragon 680 and Android 14
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 with 4 x Kryo 265 Gold and 4 x Kryo 265 Silver cores, built on 6nm and running at up to 2.4GHz, powers Android 14. Dual channel 8GB DDR4 RAM and 128GB of storage leave room for plenty of apps.
Integrated 4G LTE
4G LTE is built in, with a 4G antenna included. With a SIM card the unit can stream music, run real-time navigation and share its internet connection with passengers.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Dual-band Wi-Fi
Dual-band Wi-Fi supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Use it to download apps and updates from a hotspot or your home network.
DAB with a tuner
DAB+ radio is supported with an external tuner, such as the XTRONS USBDAB01, USBDAB02, USBDAB04, ACUSBDAB05T or ACUSBDAB06, sold separately.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
External microphone
Optional add-ons
XTRONS accessories add more: a reversing camera, a DVR to record your journeys, an OBD2 scanner for live data and trouble codes, and a TPMS to show tyre pressures on the screen. Each is sold separately.
USB and RCA
A USB cable and an RCA cable come in the box, for media from a USB stick and for connecting audio equipment.

This is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display in cars with the CIC system. Sound plays through the car's AUX input, which must be enabled; without a working AUX input you'll need an FM transmitter such as the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 or CA/ITR/FM03. Does it fit a 7 Series with NBT?
No, it's for the F01/F02 with the CIC system. For NBT, choose the XTRONS QGB24NB12SV.
Do I keep iDrive and the CD player?
Yes. The CD player, radio and iDrive system all keep working.
What if my car has no AUX input?
The unit needs the AUX input for sound. Without a working one, add an FM transmitter; the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 and CA/ITR/FM03 are compatible.
