A 9 inch Android 14 head unit made for the Porsche Cayenne (2003-2010), including the S, GTS, Turbo, Turbo S and Diesel. A fibre optic decoder connects it to the factory Bose or Harman Kardon sound system, and it adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and 4G.

Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects as you get in, with no cable, and works with iPhones running iOS 12+. Say "Hey Siri" for directions, calls and messages without taking your hands off the wheel.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Wireless Android Auto
Android phones connect to Android Auto wirelessly too. "Hey Google" handles navigation, calls and music by voice.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
Works with the factory sound system
The Cayenne's Bose or Harman Kardon system uses a fibre optic connection. The included fibre optic decoder links the new unit to it, so the factory amplifier and speakers carry on doing their job.
The CANbus decoder keeps the factory door reminder working. The harness is plug-and-play, but a technician who knows Porsches is recommended for the fibre optic decoder set-up.
AKM DSP
The built-in AKM DSP gives 8-channel tuning with time-alignment correction, so you can set the sound to arrive at the driver's seat together rather than from the nearest speaker first.
The 30-band equaliser lets you fine tune the tone for the Cayenne's cabin.
The sound processor lets you tune the sound to your car: an equaliser, a delay for each speaker so the sound centres on your seat, and crossovers that keep deep bass away from small speakers. Start from a preset and change one setting at a time.
9 inch IPS screen
The 9 inch G+G IPS screen runs at 1280×720 with 178° viewing angles, and is readable in direct sunlight. Changeable UI themes let you pick a layout you like.
Android 14 and octa-core processor
An octa-core 12nm processor with 4GB DDR4 RAM and 128GB storage runs Android 14 for smooth navigation and multitasking. It's rated for -30°C to +80°C.
Global 4G LTE
There's a SIM slot for global 4G LTE, giving the unit its own internet connection for live maps and streaming without your phone's hotspot. Insert a Micro-SIM and it's ready to use.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Dual band Wi-Fi
Dual band Wi-Fi connects the unit to a hotspot or your home network for faster, steadier data.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring puts your phone's display on the 9 inch screen for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
Bluetooth 5.0
Bluetooth 5.0 gives clear hands-free calls and music streaming from your phone.
External microphone
External DAB+
For digital radio, connect an external DAB+ tuner such as the XTRONS USBDAB01, USBDAB02, USBDAB04, ACUSBDAB05T or ACUSBDAB06.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
Reversing camera
A camera cable is included for an aftermarket reversing camera. If your Cayenne already has an original reversing camera, you'll need an adapter cable (XTRONS ICE/ACS/FZMRM01 is compatible) to keep it working.
Connect a reversing camera and its picture appears on the screen when you select reverse. Automatic switching needs the reverse signal wired in. If your car already has a factory camera, check whether you need an adapter to keep it.
