XTRONS QAMS1445M12ER is a 10.25″ Android 14 screen for right-hand drive Mercedes-Benz E-Class W212 and S212 cars with COMAND APS NTG 4.5/4.7. It works alongside the CD player, radio and COMAND, and adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and 4G.

Android alongside COMAND
This screen is made for E-Class saloons and estates with COMAND APS NTG 4.5/4.7. The CD player, radio and COMAND stay in place, and you swipe the screen to move between them and Android.
An NTG 4.5/4.7 system usually has a 4 pin LVDS port and the Telematic Generation 4.5/4.7 menus. Check this before ordering.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects wirelessly, so your iPhone can stay in your pocket while maps, music and calls show on the 10.25″ screen. Siri handles voice requests.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Android Auto, wireless or wired
Android Auto works wirelessly or over a USB cable. Google Maps, music apps and calls appear on the screen, with Google Assistant for voice commands.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
Built-in 4G
Insert a SIM card (not included) and the independent 4G module gives the unit its own internet connection for navigation and video. You can share it as a hotspot with passengers too.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi lets the unit join a phone hotspot or home network for app downloads and updates.
DSP sound settings
A DSP lets you adjust the sound so it suits your speakers and the way you like to listen.
The sound processor lets you tune the sound to your car: an equaliser, a delay for each speaker so the sound centres on your seat, and crossovers that keep deep bass away from small speakers. Start from a preset and change one setting at a time.
USB
The USB connection is used for wired Android Auto and can play music and video files from a USB stick.
Microphone for calls
A microphone handles hands-free calls and voice commands to Siri or Google Assistant.
DAB+ with an external tuner
Digital radio works with an external DAB tuner, which is sold separately.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the 10.25″ screen. It's handy for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto, used when parked.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
Octa-core performance
The octa-core chip is built on a 12nm process and runs at up to 2.0GHz with a Mali G52 GPU. With 4GB DDR4 RAM and 64GB storage, apps open quickly and maps run smoothly.

The screen replaces the factory display and keeps the original COMAND system. If your car has an AMI port, connect the supplied AMI cable to the "audio Out" port on the ISO cable. Check that your system is NTG 4.5/4.7 and that the car is right-hand drive before ordering.
My E-Class has NTG 4.0 or NTG 5. Which unit do I need?
For a right-hand drive W212 or S212, choose QAMS1440M12ER for NTG 4.0 or QAMS1450M12ER for NTG 5.0, 5.1 or 5.2.
Is there a left-hand drive version?
Yes. For NTG 4.5 or NTG 4.7 on a left-hand drive W212 or S212, choose QAMS1445M12EL.
My car is a 2-door A207 or C207. Will this fit?
No. The right-hand drive 2-door version for NTG 4.5 or NTG 4.7 is QAMS1445M12ECR.
Is a SIM card included?
No. Insert your own SIM card to use the built-in 4G.
