Android alongside COMAND

The screen is made to match the E-Class dashboard and works with the original NTG 4.5 or NTG 4.7 system. You keep the CD player, radio and COMAND, and swipe across to Android when you want it.

Sound from the Android side plays through the car's AUX input, which must be enabled.

Wireless Apple CarPlay

CarPlay connects without a cable, so your iPhone's maps, calls and music appear on the screen. Siri voice commands work through it too.

Android Auto, wireless or wired

Android Auto works wirelessly or with a cable. Google Maps, messages and music are on the big screen, and Google Assistant handles voice commands.

Built-in 4G

Insert a SIM card (not included) and the unit has its own internet connection for navigation, video and games, with no need for your phone's hotspot. It can also share a hotspot with passengers.

The module supports 99% of carriers worldwide, but check your SIM works in this kind of device.

Octa-core with 4GB RAM

An octa-core chip on a 12nm process runs at up to 2.0GHz with a Mali G52 GPU. 4GB DDR4 RAM and 64GB SSD ROM give room for apps and offline maps, and Android 13 runs smoothly on it.

Built-in DSP

The DSP lets you adjust the sound settings to suit the cabin and your listening.

Wi-Fi

Wi-Fi connects the unit to a hotspot or your home network for app downloads and updates.

Screen mirroring

Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the head unit, for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto.

USB

There's USB support for wired Android Auto and for playing media from a USB drive.

External microphone

The unit supports an external microphone for clearer hands-free calls and voice commands.

External DAB

Digital radio is supported with an external DAB tuner connected to the unit.

This unit ONLY works with Mercedes-Benz E-Class 4-door W212 and 5-door S212 cars that come with NTG 4.5 or NTG4.7. Please make sure your vehicle's original system is COMAND APS NTG 4.5 or 4.7 before purchasing. A NTG 4.5 or 4.7 system usually has a 4 pin LVDS port and new Telematic Generation 4.5 /4.7 UI.

If your car comes with AMI port, you need to connect AMI cable to ISO cable "audio Out" port. (AMI cable provided in the package.)

It's a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display. Check your car has COMAND APS NTG 4.5 or 4.7 first, which usually has a 4 pin LVDS port. If your car has an AMI port, connect the supplied AMI cable to the ISO cable's audio out port, and make sure AUX is enabled for sound.

My car has NTG 4.0 or NTG 5.0. Which unit do I need?

For a left-hand drive W212 or S212, choose QAMS1440M12EL for NTG 4.0 or QAMS1450M12EL for NTG 5.0/5.1/5.2.

I have a 2-door A207 or C207. Is there a version for it?

Yes. Left-hand drive A207/C207 cars need QAMS1440M12ECL with NTG 4.0 or QAMS1450M12ECL with NTG 5.0/5.1/5.2.

Is a SIM card included?

No. The 4G module takes your own SIM card.

Will I keep the CD player and COMAND?

Yes. The CD player, radio and COMAND system all stay.
