XTRONS QBMH2440M12CLS is a 12.3 inch 2K Android 14 screen for the Mercedes-Benz CLS-Class C218 / W218 with the COMAND APS NTG4.0 system. It adds wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and built-in 4G, and you can switch back to the original COMAND whenever you like.
CarPlay connects to your iPhone without a cable, so it's ready shortly after you start the car. Maps, calls and music fill the wide screen, and Siri handles voice requests.
Android phones connect wirelessly to Android Auto, with Google Maps, music apps and Google Assistant on the head unit.
The 12.3 inch IPS display runs at 2400×900 and is fully laminated. Nano-texture glass with an anti-reflective coating cuts glare when the sun is on the dash.
Split-screen lets you keep navigation on one side while using another app on the other.
You can switch between Android 14 and the original COMAND system at any time. The steering wheel controls (volume, track skip and COMAND navigation) keep working through CANbus integration, without reprogramming.
The factory camera and parking sensors stay in use, and the CANbus link shows speed, fuel level and safety alerts.
Fit a SIM and the head unit has its own data for streaming and live navigation, so there's no need to tether your phone. A 4G antenna comes in the box.
Wi-Fi on 2.4GHz and 5GHz lets the unit join a phone hotspot or home network for app downloads and updates.
Bluetooth 5.1 streams music from your phone and connects calls hands-free.
The head unit supports a DVR dash cam, sold separately, so you can record the road ahead and play recordings back on the big screen.
DAB digital radio works with an external DAB adapter, sold separately.
Screen mirroring puts your phone's display on the head unit for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto. Use it when parked.
