The XTRONS QLB42X5CCR is a 14.9 inch Android 13 screen for right-hand drive BMW X5 E70 and X6 E71 models (2007-2010) with the CCC system. It replaces the factory display with a wide, fully laminated screen and adds wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and 4G, while the original CD player stays.

Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects to your iPhone without a cable, so maps, messages and music appear across the 14.9 inch screen. The phone can stay in your pocket.
It reconnects each time you get in, with nothing to plug in.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Wireless Android Auto
Android Auto also connects wirelessly, with navigation, calls and music on the wide screen and controlled by touch or voice.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
14.9 inch QLED screen
The 14.9 inch screen is slim and fully laminated, with a custom bezel and a 2.5D edge that give the X5 or X6 a full-width display like newer BMWs. QLED gives strong, vivid colour.
IPS viewing angles
As an IPS panel, the screen stays clear from the passenger seat, which matters on a display this wide.
Octa-core performance
A flagship 12nm octa-core chip (2xCortex-A75 2.0GHz + 6xCortex-A55) runs Android 13 with 4GB DDR4 RAM and 64GB of storage.
The unit works alongside the car's original system, so the CD player doesn't need removing.
Built-in 4G
Insert a SIM card and the built-in 4G module gives the unit its own internet connection for navigation and streaming. A 4G antenna and SIM card slot are included.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi connects the unit to a hotspot or your home network for downloads and updates.
Built-in DSP
The built-in DSP lets you adjust the sound from the unit's settings to suit the car's speakers.
The sound processor lets you tune the sound to your car: an equaliser, a delay for each speaker so the sound centres on your seat, and crossovers that keep deep bass away from small speakers. Start from a preset and change one setting at a time.
RCA audio output
An RCA audio output lets you connect an external amplifier if you want more power later.
RCA pre-outputs send a clean, low-level signal to an external amplifier or subwoofer. Count the channels you need (front, rear and sub) against the outputs in the specifications. You'll also need RCA leads and power wiring for the amplifier.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the head unit, useful for apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto while parked.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
USB
A USB cable is included for media from a USB stick or a wired phone connection.
Mini microphone
A mini microphone comes in the box. Placed near the driver, it picks up your voice clearly on calls.
Cameras and optional add-ons
The unit supports a 360 camera. XTRONS accessories can also add a reversing camera, a DVR, an OBD scanner, DAB+ or a TPMS. Each is sold separately.

The screen replaces the factory display in cars with the CCC system, and the original CD player stays in place. Sound plays through the car's AUX input, which must be enabled; without an AUX input you'll need an FM transmitter such as the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02. A fix mount, face panel, screws and ISO wiring harness are included.
How do I know if my X5 has CCC?
CCC has independent slots for CD and DVD and a 10-pin LVDS port. For an accurate answer, check your VIN or ask your dealer.
My car has CIC or NBT. Which unit do I need?
For CIC, choose the XTRONS QLB42X5CIR for right-hand drive or QLB42X5CIL for left-hand drive. For NBT, choose the QLB42X5NB.
What if my car has no AUX input?
You'll need an FM transmitter; the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 is compatible.
