The XTRONS PX7453BGS is a 7 inch Android 14 car stereo custom-fit for the BMW X5 E53 (1999-2006). It adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in 4G, an AKM DSP and a gyroscope-based inclinometer, with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage.

Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects without a cable, so your iPhone's maps, calls and music come up on the 7 inch screen with voice control for hands-free use. It supports iPhone 5 and later on iOS 8 and above.
Full-featured Android Auto
Android Auto puts Google Maps, calls and music apps on the dashboard. It supports Android phones on Android 4.3 and above.
7 inch IPS touch screen
The 7 inch capacitive touch screen runs at 1024×600 with G+G glass, and the IPS panel holds its colours at wide angles so the passenger sees a clear picture too.
AKM DSP
The automotive-grade AKM DSP chip has customisable sound modes and EQ settings, so you can set bass, mids and treble to suit your music and the X5's cabin.
TDA7388 amplifier
A TDA7388 amplifier drives the speakers directly from the head unit.
Integrated 4G
Insert a Micro-SIM card and the unit has its own mobile broadband for maps, streaming and apps. USB tethering is supported as well.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi lets the unit join a hotspot or your home network for app downloads and updates.
Screen mirroring
The unit can act as a wireless display and controller for an iOS or Android phone, for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto.
External microphone
An external microphone is supplied. Mount it near the driver for clearer hands-free calls and voice commands.
USB
Two USB cables are in the box for connecting your phone and playing media, including 2K video.
Radio and DAB
An SI4755 radio tuner with RDS shows station names. Add an external DAB tuner for digital stations.
AHD camera support
The unit supports AHD cameras, and a camera cable is in the box for adding a reversing camera.
Inclinometer and compass
Built-in gyroscope sensors show the X5's roll and pitch angle on screen, with a compass for finding your way on unmarked tracks.
Processor and memory
A 12nm octa core 2.2GHz processor runs Android 14 with 4GB DDR4 RAM and 64GB of solid state storage. The components are tested from −30°C to +80°C. The unit doesn't play discs.

- For BMW X5 E53 (1999-2006)
- Please check whether your car's radio antenna port is in the boot. If it is, you will need two radio antenna extension cables to finish the installation. (XTRONS ICE/ACS/FZMF and ICE/ACS/ISOFZ are compatible)
- If your car's original radio has a 4.3" or 7" screen with a 12 pin plug, or you have the navigation drive located in the rear of your car, you will need an extra 6m extension cable to complete the installation. (XTRONS EXL005, EXL007 are compatible).
- Connect the blue plug in XTRONS ISO wiring harness ONLY IF there is a blue 12-pin plug in your dash.
- For cars with Logic7 system or the factory car radio has fiber optic input WITHOUT 8 speaker wires as shown, an extra decoder will be needed to retain the factory amplifier and resolve "NO SOUND" issues. (XTRONS FOBB05 is compatible.)
- If there is DSP (Digital Sound Processing) button in your factory radio, or your car has a digital sound system like "Harman Kardon", you need to order an extension cable to aid for the installation. (XTRONS EXL007 is compatible).
- Please check whether there is a frame in the centre console of your car. If so, please remove the frame before installing the unit.
The PX7453BGS is custom-fit for the X5 E53 and connects with the supplied ISO wiring harness, CANbus box and fitting kits; remove any frame in the centre console first. Some cars need extra parts: XTRONS ICE/ACS/FZMF and ICE/ACS/ISOFZ if the aerial port is in the boot, a 6m extension cable such as EXL005 or EXL007 for a 4.3" or 7" screen radio or a rear navigation drive, EXL007 for a DSP button or Harman Kardon system, and the FOBB05 decoder for Logic7 or fibre optic systems. Only connect the blue plug on the harness if your dash has a blue 12-pin plug.
My X5 has Logic7. Will I get sound?
You'll need an extra decoder to keep the factory amplifier and avoid a no sound problem. XTRONS FOBB05 is compatible.
The radio aerial connection is in the boot. What do I need?
Two aerial extension cables. XTRONS ICE/ACS/FZMF and ICE/ACS/ISOFZ are compatible.
Does it play CDs?
No, this unit doesn't play discs.
Can I use my own SIM card?
Yes. Insert a Micro-SIM card for 4G mobile data.
