Functions
A 6 metre Quadlock extension harness for BMW models with factory sat nav, where the stereo connections sit in the boot. It lets you fit any aftermarket stereo with a standard Quadlock connection, and with the right adapter one with an ISO connection.

Reaching the boot from the dash
On BMWs with factory sat nav, the stereo connections are in the boot, so a normal harness won't reach. The EXL007 runs 6 metres and ends in a universal Quadlock plug, so it works with any aftermarket stereo that has a standard Quadlock connection. With the right adapter it can also be used for a unit with an ISO connection.
It suits the E39, E46 and E53, among the listed models, with either 17 or 40 pin connections, and works with most aftermarket brands.
Factory DSP and premium sound
If your factory radio has a DSP button or the car has a digital sound system, connect the harness's male connectors so the sound system keeps working. In cars with Harman Kardon or another premium system, it can be used with 2 CT53-BM01 connectors for an easier connection, though some alteration may be needed to fit a custom stereo.
The sound processor lets you tune the sound to your car: an equaliser, a delay for each speaker so the sound centres on your seat, and crossovers that keep deep bass away from small speakers. Start from a preset and change one setting at a time.

- EXL007 can be used with connects 2 CT53-BM01 to allow easier connection in vehicles with Harmon Kardon or premium sound systems (Some alteration may be required to fit a custom stereo )
- EXL007 can be used with most aftermarket manufactures including custom fit models from Eonon and Erisin.
Connect the harness to the stereo connections in the boot and run it 6 metres forward to the new head unit's Quadlock plug. If the factory radio has a DSP button or the car has a digital sound system, connect the male connectors as well.
Why do I need an extension?
On BMWs with factory sat nav the stereo connections are in the boot, so the 6 metre lead brings them to the dashboard.
Will it work with my stereo?
It works with any aftermarket stereo that has a standard Quadlock connection, and with an ISO unit if you use the correct adapter.
My car has a DSP button. Do I need anything else?
Connect the harness's male connectors so the factory sound system keeps working.
