A 10.25 inch 2K widescreen Android 14 unit that replaces the factory display in left-hand drive BMW X3 F25 and X4 F26 models (2014-2016) with the NBT system. It adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, 4G and navigation, running on a Qualcomm 662 processor.
This screen is for left-hand drive BMW X3 F25 and X4 F26 cars from 2014-2016, and it only works with the original NBT system. An NBT radio usually has a Media button, a touch pad controller, a 6-pin LVDS port and a BMW NBT interface. For CIC cars, choose the XTRONS QBBH14CIB12X3; for EVO, the QBBH14EVB12X3.
If the car's interface has been modified or updated, it can be harder to tell which system you have, so check before ordering.
It runs Android 14 on a Qualcomm 662 octa-core processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.
CarPlay connects your iPhone without a cable, so maps, music and calls show on the wide screen while the phone stays in your pocket.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Android Auto also works wirelessly. Google Maps, your music apps and messages appear in a layout made for driving.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
The 10.25 inch 2K IPS touch screen is fully laminated, which cuts reflections and keeps the picture sharp and clear from both front seats.
With a SIM card, built-in 4G gives the unit its own data connection for live maps and streaming. A 4G antenna is in the box.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi lets the unit join a hotspot or your home network for app downloads and updates.
The unit supports an external DAB tuner, sold separately, for digital radio.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
Screen mirroring puts your phone's display on the 10.25 inch screen, useful for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto. It's best used when parked or by a passenger.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
An external microphone can be connected for clearer hands-free calls and voice commands.

The unit is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display, with an ISO wiring harness and installation instructions in the box. Audio goes through the car's AUX input, so make sure AUX is enabled. If there's no AUX input or it doesn't work, you'll need an FM transmitter; the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 and CA/ITR/FM03 are compatible.
