The XTRONS PXP9446BGDAB is a 9 inch Android 14 car stereo for the BMW E46 3 Series and M3, the Rover 75 and the MG ZT. It has DAB+ built in, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, global 4G and an AKM DSP.

Built-in DAB+
DAB+ is built in, so you get digital radio without adding a separate tuner. Noise-cancelling and signal optimisation help keep reception clean.
There's also an SI4755 FM radio with RDS for station names.
Wireless CarPlay
CarPlay connects to your iPhone without a cable, so maps, music and messages are on the 9 inch screen while the phone stays in your pocket. It supports iPhone 5 and later models with iOS 8 and above.
Android Auto
Full-featured Android Auto brings Google Maps, music and calls to the screen, with voice control for hands-free use. It supports Android phones with Android 4.3 and above.
9 inch IPS screen
The 9 inch IPS screen runs at 1280×720 with a G+G capacitive touch panel. IPS avoids colour shifts at wide angles, so the passenger sees a true picture. It plays 2K video.
AKM DSP
The AKM DSP chip gives you customisable sound modes and EQ settings, so you can set the bass, mids and highs for the music you play and the speakers in your car. A TDA7388 amplifier drives the speakers.
Global 4G
Insert a Micro-SIM card and the unit has its own 4G connection for maps and streaming. A 4G antenna and SIM card slot cable are in the box, and USB tethering is supported too.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi connects the unit to a home network or hotspot, and a Wi-Fi antenna is included.
Inclinometer for off-road driving
Built-in gyroscope sensors drive an inclinometer that shows the car's roll and pitch angle, along with a compass for finding your way on a trail.
Android 14 performance
Android 14 runs on a 12nm octa core 2.2GHz processor with 4GB DDR4 RAM and 64GB ROM, and the components are tested from −30°C to +80°C.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the head unit for apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto.
Microphone
A microphone is included for clear hands-free calls and voice commands.
AHD camera support
The unit supports AHD cameras, and a camera cable is in the box for adding a reversing camera.

Check the year, dimensions and shape of your centre console before ordering; the face panel is 246/233x113mm. Depending on the car you may need extra cables: XTRONS ISOFZ and FZMF if the radio antenna port is at the rear, an EXL005 or EXL007 6m extension if the original radio has a 4.3 inch or 7 inch screen with a 12 pin plug or the navigation drive is in the rear, and an EXL007 if there's a DSP button or a Harman Kardon system. Cars with Logic7 need the FOBB05 decoder to keep the factory amplifier. In a Rover 75 or MG ZT the trim on both sides of the unit must be cut, and a 36pin harness needs the AK/PSP9046B/ISOCBL02; test every function before trimming.
Do I need a separate DAB tuner?
No. DAB+ is built in.
My E46 has Logic7. Will I get sound?
You'll need the XTRONS FOBB05 decoder to keep the factory amplifier and avoid a no sound problem.
Will it fit a Rover 75 or MG ZT?
Yes, but the trim on both sides of the unit has to be cut. Check every function works before trimming, and a 36pin radio harness needs the XTRONS AK/PSP9046B/ISOCBL02.
Does it play CDs?
No, this unit does not play discs.
Which phones work with CarPlay and Android Auto?
iPhone 5 and later with iOS 8 and above, and Android phones with Android 4.3 and above.
