The XTRONS IM1439BH is a 10.25 inch Android 14 head unit made to fit the BMW E39 and E39 M5. It brings wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, built-in 4G and a QLED IPS screen to an older dashboard, and keeps factory features through its CANbus connection.

Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects over the unit's dual-band Wi-Fi, so your iPhone doesn't need a cable. Maps, messages and music show on the 10.25 inch screen, and you can use voice commands to keep your hands on the wheel.
For an E39, it's a big step up from the original radio.
Wireless Android Auto
Android Auto connects wirelessly in the same way. Real-time navigation, calls and music apps run on the head unit, with the phone tucked away.
10.25 inch QLED screen
The 10.25 inch QLED screen runs at 1920×720 under G+G tempered glass. Colours are strong and the anti-glare finish keeps it readable in direct sunlight.
IPS viewing angles
The screen is an IPS panel, so the picture holds up when viewed from the passenger seat too.
AKM 7604 DSP
The AKM 7604 DSP has 36-band equalisation, which lets you tune the sound precisely to the E39's speakers and cabin. Fine adjustments like this make a real difference to clarity on long drives.
TDA7851 amplifier
A TDA7851 amplifier with 4x 48W output drives the speakers directly, so music and 1080P video soundtracks have plenty of power without an extra amp.
Optical, coaxial and RCA outputs
Fiber-optic, coaxial and RCA outputs give you options for an external amplifier or processor. An RCA cable comes in the box.
Dual Bluetooth
Two Bluetooth modules allow simultaneous connections. Qualcomm Bluetooth streams audio with aptX HD, while the Unisoc module (Bluetooth 5.2) has low latency for OBD-II scanners or dashcams.
Global 4G LTE
Global 4G LTE is built in, with a 4G antenna included. Insert a standard Micro-SIM and the unit gets real-time traffic, weather and streaming without tethering your phone.
Dual-band Wi-Fi
Dual-band 2.4G/5G Wi-Fi handles wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, and lets the unit download apps and updates from a hotspot or home network.
Factory features and steering wheel controls
CANbus integration keeps factory features such as ACC and door reminders working. Your steering wheel buttons for volume, track and calls carry on as before.
It uses your car's original wiring harness.
Android 14 performance
The Unisoc 7865 octa-core chipset (2x Cortex A75 @ 2.2GHz + 6x A55 @ 1.8GHz) runs Android 14 with 4GB RAM and 64GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It handles navigation, music and 1080P video at the same time.
Thermal management keeps it stable on long drives, and it's rated from -30°C to +80°C.
DAB with an adapter
DAB radio is supported with an external DAB adapter, which is sold separately.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the head unit, useful for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto while you're parked.
USB
Two USB cables are included, for media from a USB stick or a wired phone connection.

- Please check whether there is a frame in the center console of your car as the picture shows, if there is, please remove the frame first to finish the installation.
- Please ensure your car's central console is circular angle before purchasing, or it can NOT fit with your car perfectly.Please refer to XTRONS IM1453BH.
- If your car's radio antenna port is the same as the picture and it is in the trunk, you need to order two extension cables (XTRONS ISOFZ and FZMF) to finish the installation.
- If your car's original radio has a 4.3" or 7" screen with a 12 pin plug, you will need this cable to aid the installation - XTRONS ICE/ACS/BMWDSP01.
- If there is a DSP (Digital Signal Processing) button in your factory radio, you will need to order an extension cable to aid the installation. (XTRONS AKEXL007FZMF is compatible.)
The unit is plug-and-play with a CANbus box and works with the car's original wiring harness. If there's a frame in the centre console, remove it first. Some cars need extra cables: two extension cables (XTRONS ISOFZ and FZMF) if the radio antenna port is in the boot, the XTRONS ICE/ACS/BMWDSP01 if the original radio has a 4.3" or 7" screen with a 12 pin plug, and the XTRONS AKEXL007FZMF if the factory radio has a DSP button.
Will it fit my E39?
It's made for the BMW E39 (1995-2003) and E39 M5 (1999-2003) with a centre console that has rounded (circular angle) corners. If your console is a different shape, look at the XTRONS IM1453BH instead.
Do my steering wheel buttons still work?
Yes. The CANbus integration keeps the factory steering wheel controls for volume, track and calls.
What SIM card does the 4G need?
A standard Micro-SIM with a data plan.
Do I need any extra cables?
Possibly. Cars with the antenna port in the boot, an original radio with a 4.3" or 7" screen and 12 pin plug, or a factory DSP button each need an extra cable. Check your car against the compatibility notes before ordering.
