XTRONS QWBX24CIB12SV is a 12.3 inch widescreen Android 14 head unit that replaces the factory display in the BMW 7 Series F01/F02 with the CIC system, 2009-2012. It's plug and play and adds wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and built-in 4G.
- Wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto
- 12.3 inch fully laminated IPS touch screen

- Built-in 4G for maps and streaming without your phone
- Plug-and-play replacement for the factory display in CIC cars
Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects to your iPhone without a cable. Maps, music, calls and messages show on the wide screen, and Siri handles voice requests while you drive.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Wireless Android Auto
Android phones connect wirelessly to Android Auto, with Google Maps, music apps and Google Assistant on the head unit.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
12.3 inch IPS screen
The widescreen 12.3 inch IPS panel is fully laminated, so the glass and display sit together without an air gap. That keeps the picture clear and cuts reflections.
It plays 4K video files for passengers while you're parked.
Built-in 4G
With a SIM card fitted, the head unit has its own data for live traffic, streaming and updates. The 4G antenna comes in the box.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi connects the unit to a phone hotspot or home network for downloads and updates.
Microphone for calls
Microphone support means hands-free calls and voice control through the head unit.
DAB radio with an add-on
DAB digital radio works with an external DAB adapter, sold separately.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring puts your phone's screen on the head unit, for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto. Use it when parked.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
Qualcomm 685 and Android 14
A Qualcomm 685 octa-core processor runs Android 14 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, leaving plenty of room for offline maps, music and apps.

- BMW 7 Series (2002-2022)
- For BMW 7 Series F01/F02 (2009-2012) with CIC System
- This unit ONLY works with the original BMW CIC system. A CIC system car radio usually comes with CD button, a 4-pin LVDS port, a BMW CIC Interface.
- For NBT system, please buy XTRONS QWBX24NB12SV;
- If your car comes with NO audio AUX input or the AUX port is not functioning, you will need to order an FM transmitter to aid the installation. (XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 and CA/ITR/FM03 are compatible.)
| Make | Model | Years | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| BMW | 7 Series (F01) | 2008–2015 | Cars with the factory CIC system |
| BMW | 7 Series (F02) | 2008–2015 | Cars with the factory CIC system |
This is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display, with an ISO wiring harness supplied. It connects to the car's AUX input for sound, so make sure AUX is enabled; without a working AUX input you'll need an FM transmitter such as the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 or CA/ITR/FM03. NBT cars need the QWBX24NB12SV instead.
How do I know if my 7 Series has CIC?
A CIC radio usually has a CD button, a 4-pin LVDS port and a BMW CIC interface. If your car has NBT, choose the QWBX24NB12SV.
What if my car has no AUX input?
You'll need an FM transmitter. The XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 and CA/ITR/FM03 are compatible.
Is CarPlay wireless?
Yes. CarPlay and Android Auto both connect wirelessly.
