XTRONS QTB8060CC is an 8.8″ Android screen for the BMW 3 Series E90-E93 and 5 Series E60/E61 with the CCC system. It keeps iDrive, the factory amplifier, CD player, radio and Bluetooth, and adds wireless CarPlay and Android Auto.

Works with the original CCC system
The screen replaces the CCC display, and the factory iDrive, amplifier, CD player, radio and Bluetooth stay as they were. Steering wheel controls and the backup camera display keep working too.
A CCC system has separate CD and DVD slots and a 10-pin LVDS port. A "Car Communication Computer" interface alone doesn't prove it's CCC, so check the slots and port. For CIC, choose QTB8060CI.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects wirelessly, so your iPhone can stay in your pocket. Maps, calls and music show on the wide screen, and Siri takes voice requests.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Android Auto, wireless or by cable
Android Auto works wirelessly or by USB cable, putting Google Maps, music and calls on the screen with Google Assistant for voice control.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
8.8″ IPS touch screen
The fully laminated IPS screen runs at 1280 x 480 with G+G touch. Wide viewing angles and good colour accuracy mean it looks the same from either front seat.
Day and night modes change the look automatically with the car's lights, or you can switch manually. Factory-style themes are available if you'd like it to match the BMW menus.
Split screen
Two windows can sit side by side, so you can follow the map while choosing music without switching between apps.
Dual-band Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi connects on 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands for steady streaming and navigation through a hotspot.
Bluetooth 5.0
Bluetooth 5.0 gives clear hands-free calls and streams music from your phone.
AHD camera support
The unit supports AHD cameras up to 1080P, front and rear, for a real-time reversing picture with a wide angle and good night vision.
Connect a reversing camera and its picture appears on the screen when you select reverse. Automatic switching needs the reverse signal wired in. If your car already has a factory camera, check whether you need an adapter to keep it.
Steering wheel controls
Steering wheel controls are supported, so volume and track buttons keep working after fitting.
Your steering wheel buttons keep working with the new unit, either through a CAN bus decoder or by teaching the unit each button. Check which your car needs before ordering. A few buttons may do nothing if the unit has no matching function.
Wireless screen mirroring
Mirror your phone wirelessly to share videos with passengers. It's best used when parked.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
USB
A USB cable is supplied for wired Android Auto and for playing files from a USB stick.
Microphone for calls
The unit supports a microphone for hands-free calls and voice commands.
DAB+ with an external tuner
Digital radio works with an external DAB tuner, sold separately.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.

- This unit ONLY works with the original E90 E91 E92 E93 E60 E61 M5 CCC system.
The screen replaces the factory CCC display and connects through the supplied ISO wiring harness. Sound runs through the car's AUX input, which must be enabled. If there's no AUX input or it doesn't work, order an FM transmitter such as CA/ITR/FM02 or CA/ITR/FM03.
How can I tell CCC from CIC?
CCC has separate CD and DVD slots and a 10-pin LVDS port. CIC has a 4-pin LVDS port and a CD button on the iDrive controller.

Choose QTB8060CI.
Will I keep the factory amplifier and CD player?
Yes. iDrive, the amplifier, CD player, radio and original Bluetooth all stay.
What if my car has no AUX input?
