A 10.25 inch Android 14 screen for right-hand drive Mercedes-Benz E-Class C207 Coupe and A207 Convertible (2015-2016) with COMAND APS NTG 5.0/5.1/5.2. It keeps the CD player, radio and COMAND system, and adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and 4G.

Android alongside COMAND
The screen is made to match the E-Class dashboard and works with the original NTG 5.0/5.1/5.2 system. You keep the CD player, radio and COMAND, and swipe across to Android when you want it.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects without a cable, so your iPhone's maps, calls and music appear on the 10.25 inch screen. Siri voice commands work through it too.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Android Auto, wireless or wired
Android Auto works wirelessly or with a cable. Google Maps, messages and music are on the big screen, and Google Assistant handles voice commands.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
Built-in 4G
Insert a SIM card (not included) and the unit has its own internet connection for navigation, video and games, with no need for your phone's hotspot. It can also share a hotspot with passengers.
The module supports 99% of carriers worldwide, but check your SIM works in this kind of device.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Octa-core with 4GB RAM
An octa-core chip on a 12nm process runs at up to 2.0GHz with a Mali G52 GPU. 4GB DDR4 RAM and 64GB SSD ROM give room for apps and offline maps, and Android 14 runs smoothly on it.
Built-in DSP
The DSP lets you adjust the sound settings to suit the cabin and your listening.
The sound processor lets you tune the sound to your car: an equaliser, a delay for each speaker so the sound centres on your seat, and crossovers that keep deep bass away from small speakers. Start from a preset and change one setting at a time.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi connects the unit to a hotspot or your home network for app downloads and updates.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the 10.25 inch screen, for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
USB
There's USB support for wired Android Auto and for playing media from a USB drive.
External microphone
The unit supports an external microphone for clearer hands-free calls and voice commands.
External DAB
Digital radio is supported with an external DAB tuner connected to the unit.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.

It's a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display. Check your car has COMAND APS NTG 5.0/5.1/5.2 first, which usually has a 4 pin LVDS port. If your car has an AMI port, connect the supplied AMI cable to the ISO cable's audio out port.

My car has NTG 4.5. Which unit do I need?
For a right-hand drive A207 or C207 with NTG 4.5 or NTG 4.7, choose QAMS1445M12ECR. With NTG 4.0, choose QAMS1440M12ECR.
I have a left-hand drive car. Is there a version for it?
Yes. For an A207 or C207 with NTG 5.0, 5.1 or 5.2 in left-hand drive, choose QAMS145OM12ECL.
Is a SIM card included?
No. The 4G module takes your own SIM card.
Will I keep the CD player and COMAND?
Yes. The CD player, radio and COMAND system all stay.
