A 12.3 inch Android 14 screen upgrade for right-hand drive Mercedes-Benz E-Class C207 coupes and A207 convertibles from 2009-2012 with the COMAND APS NTG 4.0 system. It brings wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and built-in 4G to the dashboard and keeps the original COMAND system a tap away.
This screen is for right-hand drive E-Class C207 coupes and A207 convertibles built 2009-2012 with the COMAND APS NTG 4.0 system. That system has a 10-pin LVDS port or the New Telematic Generation 4.0 menus, so check for either before you order.
The original COMAND system stays in place and you can switch back to it from the Android screen. Through the CANbus connection the unit can show car data such as speed and fuel level, and the factory safety alerts still appear.
A Qualcomm Snapdragon 662 eight-core processor, 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage run Android 14, so maps, music and messages can run together.
Once paired, your iPhone links to the screen without a cable. Apple Maps or Google Maps, your playlists, calls and messages show on the 12.3 inch display.
There's no lead to plug in every time you set off, and the phone can stay in a pocket or bag.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Android phones connect wirelessly too, putting Google Maps, music apps and calls on the screen.
Google Assistant handles directions and replies by voice, so you're not tapping at the screen on the move.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
The wide 12.3 inch IPS screen runs at 2400×900 and looks the same from the driver's and the passenger's seat.
It's fully laminated with nano-texture glass and an anti-reflective coating, which helps when bright sunlight falls across the dashboard.
Insert a SIM card and the unit has its own 4G LTE connection for live traffic, streaming and online search, without using your phone as a hotspot.
The 4G antenna is supplied.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi works on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Connect to your phone's hotspot or to your home network when parked to update apps and maps.
Bluetooth 5.1 gives you hands-free calling and music streaming from your phone through the car's speakers.
The factory steering wheel buttons stay working through the CANbus connection, so volume and track changes are still at your fingertips.
Your steering wheel buttons keep working with the new unit, either through a CAN bus decoder or by teaching the unit each button. Check which your car needs before ordering. A few buttons may do nothing if the unit has no matching function.
The 12.3 inch screen can be split to show two apps side by side, such as a map and your music.
Mirror your phone's screen onto the display to use apps that aren't available through CarPlay or Android Auto.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
Digital radio needs an external DAB receiver, which the unit supports. It isn't built in, so add one if you listen to DAB.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
A compatible dash cam (DVR) can be connected and viewed on the screen.
Recordings from a dash cam show on the car screen, live or played back. It needs a USB dash cam made for Android head units; an ordinary dash cam with its own screen won't connect this way. Mount the camera behind the mirror, clear of your view.

The unit replaces the factory display and connects with the supplied ISO wiring harness and LVDS cable. Cars with an AMI port need the supplied AMI cable connected to the ISO cable's audio out port. The sound goes through the car's AUX input, so AUX must be enabled on the car's system.
No. For a right-hand drive A207/C207 with NTG 4.5/4.7 choose QBMH2445M12ECR, and with NTG 5.0/5.1/5.2 choose QBMH2450M12ECR.
