The XTRONS QDB10X5NB is a 10.25 inch Android screen for the BMW X5 F15 and X6 F16 (2014-2017) with the original NBT system. It adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and built-in 4G, and you keep the CD player, radio and iDrive.

For the X5 F15 and X6 F16 with NBT
This unit only works with the original NBT system in the X5 F15 and X6 F16. NBT has a 6-pin LVDS port and a MEDIA button or touch pad on the iDrive controller. A ConnectedDrive screen on its own doesn't confirm NBT.
For CIC cars (4-pin LVDS port, CD button on the controller) see the XTRONS QDB10X5CI, and for CCC cars (separate CD and DVD slots, 10-pin LVDS port) see the QDB10X5CC.
The CD player, radio and iDrive all stay, and you swipe the screen to move into Android.
10.25 inch IPS screen
The 10.25 inch IPS display runs at 1920×720 with a Grade-A G+G touch screen. Colours stay consistent from every seat in the car.
Wireless CarPlay
CarPlay connects your iPhone wirelessly, with maps, music and messages on the screen and Siri for voice commands.
Android Auto, wireless or wired
Android Auto works with or without a cable, and Google Assistant handles voice requests.
Built-in 4G
The 4G LTE module works on European and Asian networks, giving the unit its own internet for navigation, music streaming and online apps. A 4G antenna is in the box.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi connects the unit to a home network or hotspot.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the head unit straight away, for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto.
USB
A USB cable is in the box for wired Android Auto or USB devices.
Microphone support
Microphone support allows hands-free calls and voice commands.
DAB radio
DAB digital radio works when an external DAB tuner is connected.

The unit is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display, and the CD player, radio and iDrive stay in place. Check that your car has the original NBT system before ordering.
How do I know if my X5 has NBT?
NBT has a 6-pin LVDS port and a MEDIA button or touch pad on the iDrive controller.
Will I keep iDrive?
Yes. The CD player, radio and iDrive all stay.
