The XTRONS QDB10X5CI is a 10.25 inch Android screen that replaces the factory display in the BMW X5 E70 and X6 E71 (2011-2013) with the CIC system. It keeps your CD player, radio and iDrive, and adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and built-in 4G.

Works with the original CIC system
The screen is matched to the BMW dashboard and runs Android alongside the original system, so you don't have to remove the CD player, radio or iDrive. Swipe the screen to move between Android and the factory menus.
It only works with the original X5 E70 and X6 E71 CIC system. A CIC car has a 4-pin LVDS port and a CD button on the iDrive controller. If yours has a 6-pin LVDS port and a MEDIA button or touch pad controller, it's NBT; independent CD and DVD slots and a 10-pin LVDS port mean CCC.
10.25 inch IPS screen
The 10.25 inch HD display runs at 1920×720 with Grade-A G+G touch glass. The IPS panel gives wide viewing angles and consistent colour, so it's clear from both front seats.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects wirelessly, putting your iPhone's maps, calls and music on the screen. Siri voice commands let you keep your hands on the wheel.
Android Auto, wireless or wired
Android Auto works wirelessly or with a cable, bringing Google Maps, calls and music apps to the dashboard with Google Assistant voice control.
Built-in 4G LTE
The 4G LTE module supports European and Asian networks. With a SIM card, the unit has its own internet connection for navigation, music streaming and online apps.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi lets the unit join a hotspot or your home network for app downloads and updates.
Screen mirroring
Mirror your phone's display to the car screen for apps and media that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto.
USB
A USB cable is supplied for wired Android Auto and for connecting your phone.
Microphone for calls
The unit has a microphone for hands-free calls and voice commands.
DAB radio with an external tuner
Add an external DAB tuner to receive digital radio through the unit.
Processor and memory

The QDB10X5CI is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display and comes with installation instructions. Confirm your car has the original CIC system before ordering: look for a 4-pin LVDS port and a CD button on the iDrive controller.
How do I know if my X5 or X6 has CIC?
A CIC system has a 4-pin LVDS port and a CD button on the iDrive controller. A Car Information Computer interface alone doesn't guarantee it.
How can I tell NBT or CCC apart?
NBT has a 6-pin LVDS port and a MEDIA button or touch pad iDrive controller. CCC has independent CD and DVD slots and a 10-pin LVDS port. This unit is for CIC only.
Do I keep the iDrive and CD player?
Yes. The unit works alongside the original system, so the CD player, radio and iDrive stay.
Is Android Auto wireless?
Yes, and it can also be used with a cable. CarPlay connects wirelessly.
