XTRONS QBBH14CCB12X5L is a 10.25 inch 2K widescreen Android 14 head unit for left-hand drive BMW X5 E70 and X6 E71 with the CCC system, 2007-2010. It's a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display and adds wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and built-in 4G.
CarPlay connects to your iPhone without a cable. Maps, music, calls and messages show on the widescreen display, and Siri takes voice requests.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Android phones connect wirelessly to Android Auto, with Google Maps, music apps and Google Assistant on the head unit.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
The 10.25 inch IPS panel has 2K resolution and is fully laminated, so there's no air gap between the glass and the display. That gives a sharper picture with fewer reflections than the original CCC screen.
Fit a SIM card and the head unit has its own data for live traffic, streaming and updates. The 4G antenna comes in the box.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi connects the unit to a phone hotspot or home network for downloads and updates.
Microphone support means hands-free calls and voice control through the head unit.
DAB digital radio works with an external DAB adapter, sold separately.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
Screen mirroring shows your phone's screen on the head unit for apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto. Use it when parked.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
A Qualcomm 662 octa-core processor runs Android 14 with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, so maps, music and apps run side by side without slowing down.

This is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display, with an ISO wiring harness supplied. It's for left-hand drive CCC cars, so check your car before ordering. Sound plays through the car's AUX input, so make sure AUX is enabled; without a working AUX input you'll need an FM transmitter such as the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 or CA/ITR/FM03.
A CCC radio usually has both a CD and a DVD slot, a 10-pin LVDS port and the BMW CCC interface.
For CIC, choose the QBBH14CIB12X5L for a left-hand drive car or the QBBH14CIB12X5R for a right-hand drive car.
You'll need an FM transmitter. The XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 and CA/ITR/FM03 are compatible.
