XTRONS IDS7046BL is a 7 inch Android head unit, custom fit for the BMW E46 3 Series and M3, the Rover 75 and the MG ZT. It brings CarPlay, Android Auto and GPS navigation to an older dashboard, with an external CANbus box to keep it working with the car.
Connect your iPhone and CarPlay puts maps, music, calls and messages on the 7 inch screen. Siri is available directly, so you can ask for directions or a song without touching the phone.
Android phones run Android Auto on the head unit, with Google Maps, music apps and Google Assistant on the larger screen and big touch targets.
The 7 inch IPS display runs at 1024×600 and uses Grade-A G+G touch screen technology, so it responds quickly to a tap. The quick display window lets you choose to show car speed, navigation or video at a glance.
The DSP and EQ system let you adjust the sound in detail, so you can balance it across the car rather than living with a flat factory tone.
The TCB001HQ amplifier gives 4x45W and keeps the sound stable as you turn the volume up. It drives the car's speakers directly.
Dual-band Wi-Fi connects the unit to a phone hotspot or home network for app updates and online music.
Microphone support lets you make hands-free calls and use voice assistants through the head unit.
The unit supports AHD cameras, sold separately, and a camera cable is supplied. The picture shows on the screen when you reverse.
The built-in SI4755 radio has RDS for FM. DAB digital radio works with an external DAB adapter, sold separately.
A true octa-core A55 processor with 2GB RAM and 64GB storage keeps apps running smoothly and plays 1080P video.
The external CANbus decoder reduces electromagnetic interference and helps the unit work properly with the car's electrics.

The unit is custom fit with a 248/246x118mm face panel, and an ISO wiring harness, radio antenna cable and CANbus box are supplied. Remove any frame in the centre console first. Some cars need extra cables: the ISOFZ and FZMF if the antenna port is in the boot, the ICE/ACS/BMWDSP01 if the original radio has a 4.3" or 7" screen with a 12 pin plug, and the EXL007 if there's a DSP button. In a Rover 75 or MG ZT the trim on both sides must be cut, so check everything works first.
Yes, but the trim on both sides of the unit needs cutting. If the radio harness is 36pin, you'll also need the XTRONS AK/PSP9046B/ISOCBL02.
You may need two extension cables, the XTRONS ISOFZ and FZMF.
No, it doesn't have a DVD drive.
Yes. It supports AHD cameras, and a camera cable is in the box.
