XTRONS IQ7446BL is a 7″ Android 14 head unit for the BMW E46, Rover 75 and MG ZT. It brings wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, 4G LTE and DTS sound, with an HD output to send video to rear screens.
CarPlay connects without a cable, so your iPhone can stay in your pocket. Maps, calls and music show on the 7″ screen, and Siri takes voice requests.
Android Auto puts Google Maps, music apps and calls on the screen, with Google Assistant for voice commands.
The 7″ quantum dot screen runs at 1280×720 with bright, detailed colour. It plays 4K video when you're parked.
IPS technology gives the screen wide viewing angles, so it looks the same from the passenger seat as from the driver's.
The Si47925 audio processor adds DTS decoding, and the DSP lets you adjust the sound for your car. The result is clean digital audio that resists interference.
An automotive-grade TDA7808 amplifier chip drives the speakers with efficient digital processing.
Optical and RCA audio outputs let you add an external amplifier later. An RCA cable is in the box.
The HD port sends video to a screen in the back, so passengers can watch a film while the front screen shows the map.
With a SIM fitted, the 4G LTE module lets the unit get online by itself for navigation and tracking apps, and share its connection. It supports Europe bands 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38 and 40.
Wi-Fi connects the unit to a phone hotspot or home network for downloads and updates.
Two USB cables come with the unit for phones and USB sticks with music or video.
The unit supports a microphone for hands-free calls and voice commands.
Digital radio works with an external DAB tuner, sold separately.
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the head unit, useful for apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto when parked.
The 64bit Octa-Core Snapdragon 665 uses 4x Cortex A73 and 4x Cortex A53 cores on an 11nm process, running at up to 2.0GHz. With 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM on Android 14, it handles several apps at once.

Depending on where the radio antenna port is, you'll need ISOFZ (inside the console) or ISOFZ and FZMF (in the boot). Cars with a 4.3" or 7" factory screen with a 12 pin plug, a rear navigation drive, a DSP button or Harman Kardon need the EXL007 extension cable; a blue 12pin plug needs ICE/ACS/BMWDSP01, and a fibre optic amplifier needs FOBB05. In a Rover 75 or MG ZT the trim on both sides of the unit must be cut, after checking everything works, and a 36pin harness needs AK/PSP9046B/ISOCBL02.
Yes, but the trim on both sides of the unit has to be cut. Check all functions work before trimming, and order AK/PSP9046B/ISOCBL02 if your radio harness is 36pin.
The EXL007 extension cable. If the car has a fibre optic amplifier system, you'll also need the FOBB05 decoder.
Yes. The HDMI output sends video to a separate screen.
No, this unit doesn't have a DVD drive.
