A 12.3 inch 2K Android 14 screen made as a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display in the BMW 5 Series G30 and G31 with the EVO system. It adds wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and 4G, running on a Qualcomm 685 octa-core processor with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage.

Made for the G30 and G31 with EVO
This screen replaces the factory display in 5 Series G30 / G31 cars from 2018 that have the EVO system. An EVO radio usually has the EVO ID5 /EVO ID6 interface with the time shown at the end of the menu bar.
You can still switch to the original system and control it with the iDrive controller. Bear in mind that gesture control can't be activated after fitting, and the touch screen doesn't work while the original system is showing.
Cars with CIC need the XTRONS QWBX24CIB12FV and cars with NBT need the QWBX24NB12FV. If you're unsure, check your VIN or ask your dealer.
Wireless CarPlay
Your iPhone connects to the screen without a cable, so maps, calls and music appear on the 12.3 inch display while the phone stays in your pocket.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Wireless Android Auto
Android phones connect wirelessly to Android Auto, putting navigation, music and messages on the big screen.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
12.3 inch 2K IPS screen
The fully laminated 2K IPS touch screen is the same wide format as the factory display, with clear text and good viewing angles from both front seats. It also plays 4K video.
Built-in 4G
With a SIM card fitted, the unit has its own 4G connection for live traffic, streaming and app updates. A 4G antenna is supplied.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi lets the screen join a phone hotspot or your home network to download apps and updates.
Screen mirroring
Mirror your phone's screen onto the display for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
Microphone
An external microphone can be used for hands-free calls, giving the other person a clearer voice than a phone sitting in a cup holder.
DAB with an external tuner
DAB radio is supported with an external DAB tuner, sold separately.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
USB
A USB cable and an original USB cable are included for connecting phones and memory sticks.

The screen is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display and connects with the supplied ISO wiring harness and audio box. Check that your car has the EVO system before ordering, as CIC and NBT cars need different units.
