XTRONS QLBH44FVCI is a 14.9″ Android 14 screen for the BMW 5 Series F10/F11 (2011-2012) with the CIC system. It works alongside the original system, keeping the CD player, and adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and 4G.

Made for the BMW CIC system
Android sits alongside the original CIC system, and the CD player stays in place. The unit only works with the original BMW CIC system, which usually has a 4-pin LVDS port, a CD button on the iDrive controller and a "Car Information Computer" interface.
The interface name alone doesn't prove it's CIC, so check the port and the button too. The 14.9″ unit is slim and fully laminated, with a custom bezel and 2.5D edge.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects without any wiring, so your iPhone stays in your pocket while maps, calls and music show on the wide screen. Siri takes voice requests.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Wireless Android Auto
Android phones connect wirelessly for Google Maps, music and calls, with Google Assistant for voice control.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
Built-in 4G
Insert a SIM card and the 4G module gives the unit its own connection for navigation, video and streaming.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi lets the unit join a phone hotspot or home network for downloads and updates.
DSP sound settings
A DSP lets you adjust the sound to suit the car's speakers and your taste.
The sound processor lets you tune the sound to your car: an equaliser, a delay for each speaker so the sound centres on your seat, and crossovers that keep deep bass away from small speakers. Start from a preset and change one setting at a time.
USB
USB connects a phone or a USB stick with music and video.
Microphone for calls
The unit supports a microphone for hands-free calls and voice commands.
DAB+ with an external tuner
Digital radio works with an external DAB tuner, sold separately.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the 14.9″ screen, handy for apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto when parked.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.

The screen replaces the factory display and plays its sound through the car's AUX input, which must be enabled. Without an AUX input you'll need an FM transmitter such as CA/ITR/FM02 or CA/ITR/FM03. The original CD player doesn't need to be removed.
