The XTRONS QBBHW24FV is a 12.3 inch 2K IPS Android 14 screen that replaces the factory display in the BMW 5 Series F10 and F11. It comes in versions for the CIC and NBT systems and adds wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and built-in 4G, running on a Qualcomm 662 octa-core processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage.

CIC and NBT versions
Choose the version that matches your car's original system. The CIC version is for F10 and F11 cars from 2011-2012; a CIC radio usually has a CD button, a 4-pin LVDS port and a BMW CIC interface. The NBT version is for 2013-2016 cars; an NBT radio usually has a Media button, a touch pad controller, a 6-pin LVDS port and a BMW NBT interface. Cars with the EVO system need XTRONS QBBHW24FVEV.
The unit's sound plays through the car's AUX input, which must be enabled. With no AUX input, or one that doesn't work, you'll need an FM transmitter; XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 is compatible.
12.3 inch 2K IPS screen
The 12.3 inch 2K widescreen is fully laminated and IPS, so it's sharp, has no air gap behind the glass and keeps its colours from the passenger seat. It replaces the factory display as a touch screen.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
Your iPhone connects to CarPlay without a cable, putting maps, calls and music on the wide screen while the phone stays in your pocket.
Wireless Android Auto
Android Auto also works wirelessly, bringing Google Maps, calls and your music apps to the dashboard.
Built-in 4G
Fit a SIM card and the unit gets its own data connection, so live traffic and streaming work without using your phone as a hotspot.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi lets the unit connect to a hotspot or your home network for updates and app downloads.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the head unit, useful for apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto.
Microphone for calls
The unit has a microphone for hands-free calls and for voice commands in CarPlay and Android Auto.
DAB radio with an external tuner
Add an external DAB tuner to receive digital radio through the unit.

- This unit ONLY works with the original BMW NBT system. A NBT system car radio usually comes with Media button, touch pad controller, a 6-pin LVDS port and a BMW NBT Interface.
- For EVO system, please buy XTRONS QBBHW24FVEV;
- If your car comes with NO audio AUX input or the AUX port is not functioning, you will need to order an FM transmitter to aid the installation. (XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 is compatible.)
The QBBHW24FV is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display, connected with the supplied ISO wiring harness and fitted using the installation instructions in the box. Order the CIC or NBT version to match your car; checking your VIN or asking a dealer confirms the system, as an updated interface can be misleading. Sound goes through the car's AUX input, so enable it, or add an FM transmitter such as XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 if there's no working AUX.
Do I need the CIC or the NBT version?
CIC cars usually have a CD button and a 4-pin LVDS port; NBT cars have a Media button, a touch pad controller and a 6-pin LVDS port. Your VIN is the most reliable check.
My car has the EVO system. Will it fit?
No. For EVO, choose XTRONS QBBHW24FVEV.
What if my car has no AUX input?
You'll need an FM transmitter. XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 is compatible.
Is CarPlay wireless?
Yes. It has wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.
