A 14.9-inch Android 14 screen made as a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display in the BMW 5 Series F07 GT (2013-2018) with the NBT system. It works alongside the original BMW system, so the CD player stays in place, and adds wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto, built-in 4G and a DSP.
The 14.9-inch Grade-A 2K IPS screen has an ultra-wide 32:9 aspect ratio, so you can keep the map, music and other apps on show together without switching between them.
It has a slim, fully laminated design with a custom bezel and 2.5D edge, made to suit the 5 Series GT's dashboard, and IPS keeps the picture clear from the passenger seat.
Your iPhone connects wirelessly, with no cable needed. Maps, calls and music appear on the big screen, and voice commands let you control them without reaching for the phone.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Android phones connect to Android Auto wirelessly, putting navigation, calls and music on the dashboard in an easy layout.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
Android sits alongside the car's NBT system rather than replacing it, and the original CD player doesn't have to come out. You can still use the BMW functions you're used to and switch to Android when you want apps or phone mirroring.
Insert a SIM card and the unit has its own 4G connection for navigation, video and streaming, without relying on your phone's hotspot. A 4G antenna is included.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi lets the unit join a hotspot or your home network to download apps and updates.
The built-in DSP gives you control over how the sound is shaped, so you can balance it to suit the cabin and speakers.
The sound processor lets you tune the sound to your car: an equaliser, a delay for each speaker so the sound centres on your seat, and crossovers that keep deep bass away from small speakers. Start from a preset and change one setting at a time.
Screen mirroring turns the head unit into a display for your phone, so you can use phone apps that aren't available in CarPlay or Android Auto.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
A mini microphone is supplied for hands-free calls and voice commands. Mount it near the driver for the clearest pickup.
A USB cable is included for connecting a phone or a USB stick with your music and video.
Connect an external DAB tuner to receive digital radio. The tuner is a separate accessory.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
A 12nm octa-core chip (2xCortex-A75 + 6xCortex-A55) runs Android 14 with 8GB of DDR4 RAM and 128GB of solid state storage, so apps open quickly and there's room for plenty of music and maps.

The screen is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display in F07 GT cars with the NBT system, which usually has a 6-pin LVDS port and a MEDIA button or touch pad on the iDrive controller. Sound plays through the car's AUX input, so AUX must be enabled; without an AUX input you'll need an FM transmitter such as the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 or CA/ITR/FM03.
An NBT radio usually has a 6-pin LVDS port and a MEDIA button or touch pad on the iDrive controller. A Car ConnectedDrive interface alone doesn't confirm it.
You'll need an FM transmitter, such as the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 or CA/ITR/FM03.
No. The original CD player stays where it is.
Yes, both connect wirelessly.
