This unit is a custom fit for the BMW E39 (1995-2003) and E39 M5 (1999-2003), with a 282x122mm face panel. If there's a frame in your centre console, it needs to come out first.

An external CANbus box handles the car's signals so the unit works properly after fitting. There's no DVD drive.

CarPlay puts your iPhone's maps, music and messages on the 7 inch screen, where they're easier to see and tap than on the phone. Siri takes requests by voice.

Dual-band Wi-Fi connects the unit to your phone's hotspot or a home network for online maps, streaming and app downloads.

An external microphone can be used for clearer hands-free calls and voice commands to Siri or Google Assistant.

An SI4755 radio with RDS is built in. For digital radio, the unit supports an external DAB tuner, sold separately.

The unit supports AHD cameras, and a camera cable is in the box. Add a reversing camera and you get a clear view behind when parking.

An Octa-Core A55 processor with 2GB DDR4 RAM and 64GB storage runs the optimised Android system and plays 1080P video. You can set your favourite apps and music sources in the XTRONS interface.
