This screen is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display in the 3 Series E90/E91/E92/E93 and M3 from 2009-2012 with the CIC system. Android runs alongside the original BMW system, and the original CD player doesn't need to come out.

A CIC radio usually has a CD button on the iDrive controller and a 4-pin LVDS port. The Car Information Computer interface alone doesn't guarantee CIC, so check the hardware.
