XTRONS QGBS25X3MK is a 12.3 inch Android screen for the BMW X3 E83 with the M-ASK system. It sits in the dashboard alongside the original stereo, so you keep the CD player, radio and iDrive while adding CarPlay, Android Auto and built-in 4G.
The widescreen IPS panel has a QHD 2K resolution of 2400 x 900 and fills the space made for the BMW's original display. It's fully laminated with G+G touch, so there's no gap between the glass and the panel and the picture looks sharp from the driver's seat.
The wide format suits a map on one side of the screen at a glance.
CarPlay connects to your iPhone without a cable once it's paired. Maps, calls, messages and music come up on the big screen, and Siri handles voice requests while you drive.
Android phones run full-featured Android Auto on the head unit. Google Maps, your music apps and messages appear on the 12.3 inch screen, and Google Assistant takes voice commands.
Fit a SIM and the head unit has its own data connection, with a 4G antenna in the box. Music streaming and live navigation work without tethering to a phone, and you can share the connection with passengers.
Wi-Fi works on both 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands. Join a phone hotspot or your home network for app downloads and updates.
A GPS antenna comes with the unit, so navigation apps can track your position in real time on the large screen.
A microphone cable is supplied for hands-free calling. XTRONS external microphones such as the ACMIC005 or ACMIC010 can be added for clearer voice quality on calls.
DAB+ digital radio needs an external XTRONS DAB tuner, such as the USBDAB01 or ACUSBDAB06, sold separately. With one plugged in you can pick up digital stations through the head unit.
An XTRONS reversing camera can be added, including AHD 1080P models such as the ACCAM10802. The camera picture shows on the screen when you reverse.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 platform has a Kryo 260 octa-core CPU reaching up to 2.0GHz. It's paired with 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB UFS storage, which leaves room for plenty of apps and keeps switching between them quick.
Android 14 runs the system, with Google Play apps for navigation, music and video.
The unit is built for the M-ASK system and connects to the car's AUX input for sound. You keep the original CD player, radio and iDrive system.
Dash cams, OBD2 scanners and TPMS sensors from XTRONS can also be added later.

The screen is custom fit for the X3 E83 with the M-ASK system, and an ISO wiring harness, audio cable and plastic bracket come in the box. Sound plays through the car's AUX input, so make sure AUX is enabled; if the car has no working AUX input you'll need an FM transmitter such as the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02. If your car has no original screen and you want iDrive controller functionality, you'll also need the XTRONS AKX3IDRIVEL01.
An M-ASK radio usually has an 18 pin LVDS port, an M-ASK interface and only one CD slot. Checking your VIN with a dealer is the surest way to confirm it.
Yes. The unit works alongside the original stereo, so the CD player, radio and iDrive system stay.
Yes, but you'll need an FM transmitter for the sound. The XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 is compatible.
DAB+ works with an external XTRONS DAB tuner, sold separately.
