An 8.8 inch 2K widescreen Android 14 unit that replaces the factory display in the BMW 3 Series E90 E91 E92 E93 and 5 Series E60 E61 M5 (2009-2012) with the CIC system. It adds wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and built-in 4G.

Made for the E90 and E60 families with CIC
This screen replaces the factory display in the 3 Series E90 E91 E92 E93 and the 5 Series E60 E61 M5 from 2009-2012 with the CIC system.
A CIC radio usually has a CD button, a 4-pin LVDS port and the BMW CIC interface. Modified or updated menus can make the system harder to identify, so check the hardware as well. Cars with CCC need QBBH8460CC.
Android 14 runs on a Qualcomm 662 octa-core processor with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage, which leaves room for apps, music and offline maps.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
Your iPhone links to the screen without a cable, bringing maps, calls, messages and music to the 8.8 inch display. The phone can stay in your pocket on every trip.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Wireless Android Auto
Android phones connect wirelessly too. Google Maps, your music apps and messages show on the wide screen, and voice commands handle most tasks.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
8.8 inch IPS touch screen
The 2K widescreen IPS touch screen keeps its colours and contrast when seen from the passenger seat as well as the driver's seat.
Built-in 4G
The unit has its own 4G connection once a SIM card is fitted, so live traffic and streaming don't depend on your phone. A 4G antenna is supplied.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi
Connect to a phone hotspot or your home Wi-Fi to download apps and updates.
Screen mirroring
Mirror your phone's screen onto the display to use apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
Microphone support
The unit supports a microphone for hands-free calls and voice control, so callers can hear you while your hands stay on the wheel.
DAB with an external receiver
DAB radio needs an external DAB receiver, which the unit supports. It isn't built in.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
USB
A USB cable comes with the unit for connecting a phone or a USB stick of music and video.

The unit is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display and connects with the supplied ISO wiring harness. Sound goes through the car's AUX input, so AUX must be enabled. If the car has no AUX input or it doesn't work, you'll need an FM transmitter (XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 is compatible).
