A 9 inch Android 14 head unit that fits a long list of Volkswagen, Skoda and Seat models, from the Golf MK5 and MK6 and Passat to the Octavia, Superb and Leon Mk2. It runs on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, with wireless CarPlay, Android Auto, 4G, DTS sound and an HDMI output for rear screens.
The unit fits a wide range of Volkswagen models, including the Golf MK5 and MK6, Golf Plus, Jetta, Passat B6 and B7, Polo MK5, Tiguan, Touran, Caddy, Sharan and T5, plus the Skoda Fabia, Octavia, Roomster, Yeti and Superb and the Seat Alhambra, Altea, Leon Mk2 and Toledo. See the full list of models and years below.
A T5 with a quadratic-shaped centre console won't take it, and on Skoda models you should check the unit's shape matches your dashboard. There's no DVD drive.
CarPlay connects your iPhone wirelessly through Bluetooth, so compatible apps such as maps and music appear on the 9 inch screen and voice commands work straight from the unit.
Full-featured Android Auto connects through Bluetooth wirelessly or with a USB cable. Google Maps, music and messages appear in a layout made for driving.
The 9 inch quantum dot screen runs at 1280×720 and shows bright, detailed colour, so maps and video look sharp.
IPS technology gives the screen wide viewing angles, so the passenger sees the same clear picture as the driver.
The DSP and DTS decoding from the Si47925 audio processor give fully digital, lossless audio output with better resistance to interference. You can adjust the sound to suit the cabin.
An automotive-grade TDA7808 digital amplifier chip drives the speakers efficiently for clean sound.
Optical and RCA audio outputs let you add an external amplifier or processor if you want to build up the system later.
The HDMI output sends video to a screen for the back seats, so passengers can watch a film while the driver keeps the map on the main screen.
With a SIM card, the unit has its own 4G LTE connection for navigation apps, streaming and sharing the internet with passengers. In Europe it supports bands 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38 and 40.
Wi-Fi connects the unit to a hotspot or your home network for updates and app downloads.
Bluetooth connects your phone for wireless CarPlay and wireless Android Auto.
The unit has its own GPS system, so navigation apps run on the head unit even without a phone.
An external DAB tuner is supported for digital radio and is sold separately.
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the head unit for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto. It's best used when parked.
USB connects an Android phone for wired Android Auto, or a USB drive with music and video.
An external microphone can be connected for clearer hands-free calls and voice commands.
If your car has a 52pin power port, the XTRONS AK/VW/ISOMQB ISO cable keeps the original camera working. With a 40pin or 36pin port and an original reversing camera, you'll need the ICE/SS/VWCAN01 ISO cable.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 is an 11nm, 64bit Octa-Core processor (4x Cortex A73 and 4x Cortex A53) running at up to 2.0GHz. With 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM it multitasks smoothly and has room for plenty of media, including 4K video.

The unit is a custom fit for the listed models.
