Fit a SIM card and the unit has its own internet connection for navigation apps, streaming and tracking, and you can share the connection with passengers. In Europe it supports bands 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38 and 40.

Wi-Fi lets the unit join a hotspot or your home network for app downloads and updates.

A GPS antenna is in the box, so navigation apps can follow your position on the 8 inch screen even without a phone connected.

Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the head unit for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto.

Add an external DAB tuner to receive digital radio through the unit.

A camera cable is in the box. If your car has a 52pin power port, the AK/VW/ISOMQB ISO cable keeps the original camera working. With a 40pin/36pin port and a factory reversing camera, you'll need the ICE/SS/VWCAN01 ISO cable.

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 is an 11nm 64bit octa-core processor with 4x Cortex A73 and 4x Cortex A53 cores, running at up to 2.0GHz. With 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, it handles multitasking and has room for plenty of downloaded music and video. The unit doesn't have a DVD drive.
