Wireless Apple CarPlay
CarPlay connects your iPhone without a cable. Maps, calls and music appear on the 10.1 inch screen while the phone stays in your pocket.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Wireless Android Auto
Android phones connect to Android Auto wirelessly, so navigation, calls and music are on the dash without plugging in.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
Adjustable 10.1 inch screen
The screen sits in front of the double DIN main unit and can be adjusted for viewing angle and height. That lets you set it where it's easy to see without blocking vents or controls.
QLED display
The 10.1 inch high definition quantum dot screen gives clear detail and strong colour for maps and video.
IPS panel
It's an IPS screen, so the picture stays clear when you look at it from the driver's seat or the passenger side.
DSP with a 30-band equaliser
A DSP chip handles the sound processing, and the 30-band graphic equaliser lets you shape the sound to suit your speakers and taste.
The sound processor lets you tune the sound to your car: an equaliser, a delay for each speaker so the sound centres on your seat, and crossovers that keep deep bass away from small speakers. Start from a preset and change one setting at a time.
Bluetooth 5.0
Bluetooth 5.0 gives a steady connection for hands-free calls and music streaming.
Mini microphone
A mini microphone is included. Fitting it near the driver gives clearer hands-free calls than relying on the unit alone.
USB
Two USB cables come in the box, for connecting a phone or playing music and video from a USB drive.
RCA in and out
RCA input and output let you connect other devices, such as backseat monitors, to share media with rear passengers.
RCA pre-outputs send a clean, low-level signal to an external amplifier or subwoofer. Count the channels you need (front, rear and sub) against the outputs in the specifications. You'll also need RCA leads and power wiring for the amplifier.
Steering wheel controls
With the steering wheel control function you can skip songs, change channels and adjust the volume without taking your hands off the wheel.
Your steering wheel buttons keep working with the new unit, either through a CAN bus decoder or by teaching the unit each button. Check which your car needs before ordering. A few buttons may do nothing if the unit has no matching function.

The main unit fits a double DIN opening and connects with the ISO wiring harness. The display panel then joins the main unit with the flat cable: pull the spring buckles on both sides, align them with the main unit, slide the panel down into position and release the buckles.
