Wireless Apple CarPlay
Your iPhone connects to CarPlay wirelessly, so it can stay in your pocket. Maps, calls and music appear on the 9″ screen, and Siri handles voice requests.
Android Auto, wireless or by USB
Android phones connect wirelessly or with a USB cable for full-featured Android Auto, with Google Maps, music and calls on screen and voice commands from the unit.
9″ QLED screen
The 9″ quantum dot screen runs at 1280×720 with clear, bright colour, and it plays 4K video when parked.
IPS viewing angles
IPS technology gives wide viewing angles, so the passenger sees the same picture as the driver.
DSP and DTS digital sound
The Si47925 audio processor provides DTS decoding, and the DSP lets you adjust the sound for the cabin. The digital audio path resists interference.
TDA7808 amplifier
An automotive-grade TDA7808 amplifier chip drives the speakers with efficient digital processing.
Optical and RCA outputs
Optical and RCA audio outputs make it easy to add an external amplifier later.
HDMI output
The HD port sends video to a rear screen, so passengers in the back can watch a film while the front screen shows navigation.
Integrated 4G LTE
With a SIM fitted, the unit has its own 4G LTE connection for navigation and tracking apps, and it can share that connection. In Europe it supports bands 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38 and 40.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi lets the unit join a phone hotspot or home network for downloads and updates.
Bluetooth
Bluetooth handles the wireless CarPlay and Android Auto connection to your phone, as well as hands-free calls.
GPS navigation
The unit is a GPS multimedia system, so navigation apps run on it directly as well as through CarPlay and Android Auto.
USB
USB connects your phone for wired Android Auto and plays files from a USB stick.
Microphone for calls
The unit supports a microphone for hands-free calls and voice commands.
DAB+ with an external tuner
Digital radio works with an external DAB tuner, sold separately.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the head unit, useful for apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto when parked.
Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 performance
The 64bit Octa-Core Snapdragon 665 combines 4x Cortex A73 and 4x Cortex A53 cores on an 11nm process at up to 2.0GHz. With 8GB RAM and 256GB ROM on Android 14, there's plenty of room for apps and media.

- This unit does NOT support your vehicle's air conditioning information.
- Please note your CD changer will NOT work after installing this unit.
The unit replaces the factory radio in the ML and GL. If your car has COMAND APS NTG 2 or NTG 2.5, you'll need the FOBB02 optical decoder box to keep the original COMAND system. Check the year, dimensions and centre console shape before ordering.
Can I keep my COMAND system?
Yes, with the FOBB02 optical decoder box on cars with COMAND APS NTG 2 or NTG 2.5.
Will the air conditioning display and CD changer still work?
No. The unit doesn't show air conditioning information, and the CD changer stops working.
Does it play discs?
No, this unit doesn't play discs.
