Apple CarPlay
Connect your iPhone and CarPlay puts maps, calls, messages and music on the 9-inch screen in large, simple tiles. Siri takes voice requests, so you don't need to touch the phone on the move.
Android Auto
Android phones get Android Auto, with Google Assistant for voice control and navigation, calls and music apps laid out for driving.
9-inch IPS touch screen
The 9-inch 1280×720 IPS display stays clear from an angle, so both front seats get a good view. Grade-A G+G touch glass makes it quick to respond to taps and swipes.
Built-in 4G LTE
The 4G module works with European and Asian networks. Fit a SIM card and the unit has its own connection for navigation, music streaming and online entertainment, without using your phone's hotspot. A 4G antenna and a SIM card slot cable are included.
Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi lets the stereo connect to a hotspot or home network for app downloads and updates.
Sound adjustment
The EQ system gives you detailed control over the sound, so you can balance it for the cabin and speakers.
4x45W TCB001HQ amplifier
The built-in TCB001HQ amplifier puts out 4x45W and keeps the sound steady across the volume range.
Screen mirroring
Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the stereo, for apps that don't run in CarPlay or Android Auto.
USB
Two USB cables and a USB cable adapter are included for connecting a phone or playing music and 1080P video from a USB stick.
Microphone
The unit supports a microphone for hands-free calls and Siri or Google Assistant voice commands.
DAB with an external tuner
Add an external DAB tuner to listen to digital radio. FM comes from the built-in SI4755 radio with RDS station information.
CANbus decoding and camera support
CANbus decoding keeps the car's own features working after the upgrade and shows car information such as ACC control and reversing control on the screen.
The unit supports AHD cameras, and a camera cable is in the box.

Please check your vehicle's power port to see if it is the same as shown - if it is and there is no radio antenna port in your vehicle, you will need a power cable, an optical decoder, a radio antenna and an antenna adapter to aid the installation. (XTRONS AK/PSP90M211/PWRC, AK/PF7M211A/FOBB01 and EC/ARL/RANT01 are compatible.)
- 2. Please be advised if your E-class is between 2003-2008, CLS-Class is between 2004-2008 and it has a COMAND APS NTG 1 system, you will need an extra optical decoder box from XTRONS to retain your car's original COMAND system. (XTRONS FOBB01 is compatible) - Not Included
- 3. Please be advised if your E-class is between 2008-2009, CLS-Class is between 2008-2010 and it has a COMAND APS NTG 2 & 2.5 system, you will need an extra optical decoder box and a ISO adapter from XTRONS to retain your car's original COMAND system. (XTRONS FOBB03 and AK24540P are compatible) - Not Included
- 4. For vehicles manufactured in 2008 or later with a connector as the picture shows, you need to order a power cable to aid for the installation. (XTRONS AK24540P is compatible.)
- Please ensure your car's central console is trapezoidal in shape, with a trim strip above before purchasing, or this unit will NOT fit your car. If it is a trapezoidal central console without the trim strip above, please refer to XTRONS IAP92M209.
- Please check your vehicle's center console to see whether there is a screen above the center console.If there is, please buy the XTRONS QLM2240M12EL (forleft-hand driving vehicle) or QLM2240M12ER (for right-hand driving vehicle).
- Please note your CD changer will NOT work after installing this unit.
- This unit does NOT support your vehicle's air conditioning information.
- Please note your original motorised compartment will NOT work after installing this unit.
- For Japanese-manufactured vehicles, this unit is not Plug and Play. Additional cable modification is required, which should be carried out by a professional installer.
- If your vehicle has a 40-pin connector, verify the pin alignment before installation. If they don't match, please contact customer service.
The stereo fits a trapezoidal centre console with a trim strip above; the face panel is 268/219x190mm. Cars with COMAND need an XTRONS optical decoder to keep it (FOBB01 for NTG 1, or FOBB03 and AK24540P for NTG 2 & 2.5), and cars from 2008 on with the pictured connector need the AK24540P power cable. Japanese-manufactured vehicles need cable modification by a professional installer, and a 40-pin connector should have its pin alignment checked first.
My car has a screen above the centre console. Will it fit?
No. For that layout, choose the XTRONS QLM2240M12ER for a right-hand drive car or QLM2240M12EL for left-hand drive.
Can I keep my COMAND system?
Yes, with an extra XTRONS optical decoder: FOBB01 for COMAND APS NTG 1, or FOBB03 and AK24540P for NTG 2 & 2.5. These aren't included.
Will my CD changer still work?
No. The CD changer and the original motorised compartment won't work after fitting, and air conditioning information isn't shown.
My console has no trim strip above it. Which unit do I need?
The XTRONS IAP92M209.
Can I add a reversing camera?
Yes. It supports AHD cameras, and a camera cable is included.
