The unit fits the Fiat 500 from 2007-2015 and has a 282x122mm face panel. It won't fit a 500 with a factory-installed big screen; those cars need XTRONS IA72500FLS. It doesn't play discs. Check the year, size and shape of your centre console before ordering.

Android 14 runs on a 12nm octa core 2.2GHz processor with 4GB DDR4 RAM and 64GB solid state storage, rated for −30°C to +80°C. Gyroscope sensors give an inclinometer with ride height, roll and pitch, plus a compass.

The unit supports an external DAB receiver for digital radio; one isn't built in. For FM and AM there's an SI4755 tuner with RDS, which shows station names.

The screen works as a wireless display and controller for your iPhone, with maps, calls and music shown on the dashboard. It supports iPhone 5 and later on iOS 8 and above, and Siri voice commands keep your hands on the wheel.

Full-featured Android Auto connects without wiring for phones on Android 4.3 and above. Google Maps, music apps and voice commands are on the 7 inch screen.

Insert a Micro-SIM card and the unit has its own 4G mobile broadband for live maps, streaming and apps. A 4G antenna is supplied, and USB tethering is supported too.

Connect to a hotspot or your home Wi-Fi for app downloads and updates.

The AKM DSP chip lets you set the sound to your taste with custom modes and EQ settings, from fuller bass to clearer vocals. The built-in TDA7388 amplifier drives the speakers.

The 7 inch capacitive touch screen has a 1024×600 resolution and G+G glass. The IPS panel holds its colours at wide angles, so it's readable from either front seat. It plays 2K video.

With the supplied GPS antenna, the unit runs navigation apps with its own position fix, so you're not relying on your phone.

The supplied microphone mounts near the driver for clearer hands-free calls and voice commands.

Two USB cables are included, for wired connections and for playing music or video from a USB stick.

A camera cable is supplied and the unit supports AHD cameras, so you can add a reversing camera with a sharp picture.

RCA cables are supplied, so you can add an external amplifier or subwoofer later.
