A 12.3 inch Android 14 screen for the BMW X5 F15 (2017-2018) and X6 F16 (2017-2019) with the EVO system. It sits alongside the original BMW system, keeping the CD player, radio and iDrive, and adds wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and built-in 4G.

Made for the X5 and X6 with EVO
This screen is for the X5 F15 (2017-2018) and X6 F16 (2017-2019) with the EVO system. An EVO radio usually shows EVO ID5 or EVO ID6 with the time displayed at the end. Cars with NBT need QGBS25NB12X5N, and cars with CIC need QGBS25CIB12X5L (left-hand drive) or QGBS25CIB12X5R (right-hand drive).
Android runs next to the original BMW system, so the CD player, radio and iDrive stay. One thing to know: once fitted, gesture control can't be activated, and the touch screen doesn't work on the original system. You use the iDrive controller there instead.
The Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor reaches up to 2.0GHz and works with 6GB LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB UFS storage, so Android 14 stays quick with several apps open.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
Your iPhone pairs once and then connects without a cable each time you get in. Maps, music, calls and messages appear on the wide 12.3 inch screen.
Android Auto
Full-featured Android Auto puts Google Maps, your music apps and messages on the dashboard, with voice control to keep distractions down.
12.3 inch 2K IPS screen
The QHD 2K IPS panel has a 2400 x 900 resolution with accurate colours. It's fully laminated with a G+G touch screen, which keeps the image clear and the touch response precise.
Built-in 4G
With a SIM card fitted, the unit gets online by itself over 4G for streaming and live navigation, and can share the connection with passengers. The 4G antenna is supplied.
Dual-band Wi-Fi
The unit connects to 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi for browsing, streaming and app downloads when you're near a hotspot or your home network.
GPS navigation
A GPS antenna is included, so navigation apps on the head unit can track your position in real time without using your phone.
Microphone for hands-free calls
A microphone cable is supplied for calls. If you want clearer voice quality, an external microphone such as XTRONS MIC001, MIC002, MIC003 or ACMIC005 can be added.
DAB+ with an external tuner
Digital radio works with an external DAB+ tuner, for example XTRONS USBDAB01, USBDAB02, USBDAB04, ACUSBDAB05T or ACUSBDAB06. There's no tuner built in.
Add a reversing camera
XTRONS reversing cameras such as CAM009S (AHD 720P) or CAM1080 (AHD 1080P) can be connected to show the view behind on the screen.
Dash cam, OBD2 and TPMS options
Add an external DVR such as DVR028S to record your journeys. An OBD2 scanner (OBD01S, OBD02, OBD03 or OBD04) reads live data and trouble codes, and TPMS08 sensors show tyre pressures on the screen.
USB
The supplied USB cable lets you connect a phone or USB storage to the unit.

- After installation the gesture control function cannot be activated and the touch function will not work when you switch to your original system (you can use the iDrive controller to control it on the original system).
The screen takes the place of the factory display and connects using the supplied ISO wiring harness, audio cable and plastic bracket. Confirm your car has the EVO system before ordering. After fitting, the original system is controlled with the iDrive controller rather than by touch, and gesture control can't be used.
Will it fit an X5 with NBT or CIC?
No. NBT cars need QGBS25NB12X5N. CIC cars need QGBS25CIB12X5L for left-hand drive or QGBS25CIB12X5R for right-hand drive.
How do I know my car has EVO?
An EVO system radio usually shows EVO ID5 or EVO ID6, with the time displayed at the end.
Does the touch screen work on the BMW menus?
No. On the original system you use the iDrive controller, and gesture control can't be activated after fitting.
Is DAB radio built in?
No. It supports an external DAB+ tuner, sold separately.
