XTRONS QLBX44SXNB3 is a 14.9 inch 2K Android 14 screen for the BMW 6 Series F06, F12 and F13 with the NBT system, 2013-2017. It replaces the factory display and works with the original system, adding wireless CarPlay, wireless Android Auto and built-in 4G.
The 14.9 inch Grade-A 2K IPS screen has a 32:9 aspect ratio, wide enough to show navigation and music together without switching tabs. Colours are vivid and text is sharp.
It's slim and fully laminated, with a custom bezel and a 2.5D edge that give it the look of a newer BMW display.
CarPlay connects to your iPhone without a cable. Maps, music, calls and messages spread across the wide screen, and voice commands keep your hands on the wheel.
Your iPhone connects on its own when you start the car, so there's no cable to plug in. It needs an iPhone with wireless CarPlay support; check yours in Settings > General > CarPlay. A cable still works when you'd rather charge on the way.
Android phones connect wirelessly to Android Auto, with Google Maps, music apps and Google Assistant on the head unit.
Maps, calls, messages and music from your Android phone appear on the car screen, with Google Assistant for voice control. It needs a phone with Google services, which most Android phones have. To connect without a cable, the phone must support wireless Android Auto too.
Insert a SIM card into the supplied 4G SIM card slot and the head unit has its own data connection for navigation, video and apps, without relying on your phone. The 4G antenna is in the box.
A SIM card in the head unit gives it its own internet connection for maps, traffic and streaming, so it doesn't need your phone's hotspot. You supply the SIM and the data plan; a data-only SIM is usually the cheapest way to do it.
Wi-Fi lets the head unit join a phone hotspot or home network for downloads and updates.
The built-in DSP lets you adjust the sound to suit the car. Audio plays through the car's original system using the supplied audio cable.
The sound processor lets you tune the sound to your car: an equaliser, a delay for each speaker so the sound centres on your seat, and crossovers that keep deep bass away from small speakers. Start from a preset and change one setting at a time.
A mini microphone comes in the box for hands-free calls and voice commands. Mount it near the driver for clear voice pickup.
A USB cable is supplied for connecting a phone or playing media from a USB stick.
Screen mirroring shows your phone's screen on the head unit for apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto. Use it when parked.
Mirroring shows your phone's whole screen on the car screen, unlike CarPlay and Android Auto, which show apps designed for driving. It usually needs a companion app on the phone, and paid video streaming apps often block it.
DAB digital radio works with an external DAB adapter, sold separately.
Digital radio gives clearer sound and more stations than FM where there's DAB coverage. It needs a DAB aerial: a stick-on windscreen aerial is the usual choice, or a splitter if your car already has a combined FM and DAB aerial.
A 12nm octa-core chip (2xCortex-A75 + 6xCortex-A55) runs Android 14 with 8GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB storage. That's plenty of space for offline maps, music and apps.
The original CD player doesn't need to come out.

This is a plug-and-play replacement for the factory display in NBT cars, with an ISO wiring harness and audio cable supplied. The original CD player stays in place. Cars with the CIC system need the XTRONS QGB23CISX instead.
An NBT system has a 6-pin LVDS port and a MEDIA button or touch pad on the iDrive controller. A Car ConnectedDrive interface alone doesn't confirm it.
Choose the XTRONS QGB23CISX. CIC cars have a 4-pin LVDS port and a CD button on the iDrive controller.
No. The original CD player doesn't need to be removed.
It has 8GB DDR4 RAM and 256GB storage.
