The screen replaces the factory display on 6 Series cars with NBT. It only works with the original NBT system, which usually has a Media button, a touch pad controller, a 6-pin LVDS port and a BMW NBT interface.

Modified or updated factory menus can make the system hard to identify, so check yours before ordering.

CarPlay connects without a cable, so your iPhone can stay in your pocket. Maps, calls and music appear on the wide screen and Siri handles voice requests.

Android phones connect wirelessly for Google Maps, music apps and calls, with Google Assistant for voice control.

The fully laminated IPS touch screen keeps its colours from the passenger seat, and the wide format leaves room for a map and music at once. It also plays 4K video when you're parked.

With a SIM fitted, 4G gives the unit its own internet connection for live maps, streaming and app updates. A 4G antenna comes in the box.

A GPS antenna is supplied, so navigation apps can run on the unit itself as well as through CarPlay and Android Auto.

A microphone handles hands-free calls and voice commands, so you don't need to pick up your phone.

Digital radio works with an external DAB tuner, sold separately.

Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the 12.3″ screen. Use it for apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto when parked.

A Qualcomm 685 octa-core processor runs Android 14 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. There's plenty of space for apps, offline maps and music.
