A 12.3-inch Android 14 screen upgrade for the BMW 5 Series F10/F11 (2013-2016) with the NBT system. It runs alongside the original BMW system, so you keep the CD player, radio and iDrive while gaining wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and built-in 4G.

Android alongside the original BMW system
This screen doesn't replace the BMW system, it works with it. The factory CD player, radio and iDrive controller stay in use, and you can switch to Android for apps, CarPlay and Android Auto.
It fits the original dashboard, so the car keeps its factory look.
Wireless Apple CarPlay
Wireless CarPlay is built in. Your iPhone connects when you start the car, and maps, calls and music appear on the wide screen without plugging anything in.
Android Auto
Full-featured Android Auto puts your Android phone's navigation, calls and music on the 12.3-inch display, laid out for driving.
12.3-inch QHD 2K IPS screen
The 2400 x 900 IPS panel is fully laminated, with G+G touch glass. Colours are accurate and the picture holds up when viewed from the passenger seat, which helps when someone else is reading the map.
The wide shape suits a map on one part of the screen and music on the other.
Integrated 4G LTE
With 4G built in, the unit has its own data connection for music streaming and real-time navigation. It can also share its internet connection with your passengers.
Dual-band Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi covers both 2.4GHz and 5GHz, so you can connect to a hotspot or your home network to download apps and updates.
GPS navigation
A GPS antenna comes with the unit for real-time navigation apps on the big screen, with the map and your next turn clear at a glance.
DAB+ with an external tuner
Add an XTRONS USB DAB+ tuner and you can receive digital radio stations through the unit, with a stronger signal than an aerial alone. The tuner is a separate accessory.
Microphone for calls
A microphone cable comes in the box for hands-free calls. For even clearer calls, the unit also works with an XTRONS external microphone, sold separately.
Reversing camera
The unit works with XTRONS AHD 720P and AHD 1080P reversing cameras, so you can see what's behind you when you reverse.
Dash cam
An external XTRONS DVR can record your journey and show it on the screen. Several models are compatible, some with ADAS driver assistance.
OBD2 scanner
Pair an XTRONS OBD2 scanner and the unit can show real-time data and trouble codes from the car's computer, so you can spot a problem early.
Tyre pressure monitoring
With an XTRONS TPMS kit fitted to the wheels, tyre pressures show on the head unit in real time.

A Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 octa-core processor running at up to 2.0GHz powers Android 14. With 6GB of LPDDR4 RAM and 64GB of UFS storage, there's room for your apps and they switch smoothly.

- Connect the XTRONS unit to your car's AUX input for audio functionality. Ensure AUX is enabled to enjoy the full audio experience with our head unit. If your car comes with NO audio AUX input or the AUX port is not functioning, you will need to order an FM transmitter to aid the installation. (XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02 is compatible.)
The unit is for 5 Series F10/F11 cars with the NBT system, which usually has a 6-pin LVDS port, a media button on the iDrive controller and a touch pad controller. Sound from the unit plays through the car's AUX input, so AUX needs to be enabled; if there's no working AUX input, you'll need an FM transmitter such as the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02. Checking your VIN or asking a dealer is the surest way to confirm the system.
How do I know if my car has the NBT system?
An NBT car radio usually has a 6-pin LVDS port, a media button on the iDrive controller and a touch pad controller. A VIN check or your dealer can confirm it.
My car has CIC or EVO. Which model do I need?
For CIC, the XTRONS QGBS25CIB12FV. For EVO, the XTRONS QGBS25EVB12FVN.
Do I keep the iDrive and CD player?
Yes. The CD player, radio and iDrive system are kept.
What if my car has no AUX input?
The unit's audio uses the AUX input. Without a working AUX port, you'll need an FM transmitter such as the XTRONS CA/ITR/FM02.
Is CarPlay wireless?
Yes, wireless CarPlay is built in, and Android Auto is full-featured.
