BMW 5 Series E60 E61 CCC 12.3 inch Android 12 Head Unit with Wireless CarPlay, Android Auto and 4G | ICE/HU/QXB2260CCP

This unit is for 5 Series E60 E61 cars with the CCC system. CCC has a BMW Car Communication Computer interface, separate slots for CD and DVD, and a 10 pin LVDS port.

CIC cars need the XTRONS QPB8260CIP, and cars with no original display need the QPB1290UN_LP.

The CD player, radio and iDrive all stay, and you swipe the screen to switch to Android.

The 12.3 inch IPS touchscreen runs at 1920×720, with good contrast and detail across the whole width. IPS keeps colours steady from the passenger seat.

CarPlay connects your iPhone without a cable and puts maps, music and messages on the wide screen. It supports iPhone 5 and later models with iOS 8 and above.

Full-featured Android Auto shows Google Maps, music and calls on the screen with voice commands. It supports Android phones with Android 4.3 and above.

The 4G module gives the unit its own internet for music streaming, real-time GPS navigation, remote position tracking and sharing with passengers. It supports European bands 1, 3, 7, 8, 20, 28, 38 and 40.

The SIM is for internet data only, not phone calls, though you can make voice and video calls through apps. This version doesn't support United States and Canada carriers.

Wi-Fi connects the unit to a home network or hotspot.

With 4G connected, navigation apps get real-time data on the 12.3 inch screen.

Android 12 runs on a Qualcomm 662 octa-core processor with dual channel 8GB DDR4 RAM and a 128GB solid state ROM, leaving plenty of room for apps and downloads.

An RCA audio output lets you add an external amplifier or subwoofer.

Screen mirroring shows your phone's display on the head unit for apps outside CarPlay and Android Auto.

The USB connection lets you plug in a phone or USB device.

Microphone support allows hands-free calls and voice commands.
